Hey all, just digging into stats a little bit and here's a play I like for tonight.
Montreal is known for getting off to a quick start and have scored on their first drive in 2 of their first 3 games this season. They have outscored opponents 29-3 in the 1Q this year.
Hamilton, on the other hand, has been criticized for the past 3 seasons for not coming prepared to play and giving up early leads. This season is no exception as the Tabbies have been outscored 33-7 in the 1Q.
Additional notes:
-Quinton Porter back starting for the cats.
-RBs Terry Caulley and Tre Smith both ouyt. Rookie D'Andre Cobbb gets his third start at RB.
-Both teams are on a short week as they both played Sunday. This should favour the team that doesn't have to travel.
-Montreal runs a very deep play book...probably the most complex offense in the CFL right now. Hamilton's defense has a number of rookies and they simply will not be prepared for the number of looks Montreal will throw at them. An indication of this is that Hamilton planned to hold a film session for the defense on the train ride to Montreal. This is not the norm from what I am told. Obviously DC Marshall has concerns about the preparedness of his defense.
Combine all this and we get...
Montreal 1st Quarter -3 -111 (Pinnacle)
I'm on this for 2 units. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts.
