You're right. Comparing the two scenarios is asinine, because going for it on 4th and 1 at your own 20 is far more "stupid" than what Carroll did last night. Bottom line is both coaches have eschewed convention at times, but have worked it to their advantage far more often than not. That's why both are SB champions.
