The Miami Dolphins have agreed to a two-year deal with free-agent defensive end Mario Williams, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
A previous report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport indicated a deal was indeed expected to be finalized Tuesday, and that Williams would receive $8 million per season.
Given the uncertainty that comes with giving the transition tag to Olivier Vernon and an aging Cameron Wake's return from a torn Achilles, Williams fills a substantial need for Miami up front.
Though he managed just five sacks as a member of the division-rival Buffalo Bills in 2015, a return to a 4-3 system should have the 31-year-old poised for a far more productive season.
Williams has put together a strong NFL career since being selected No. 1 overall in 2006, tallying an impressive 96 sacks over 145 games.
this can be a very good or a very bad move for the dolphins
but with suh ,wake and williams ...the defence should be better
