That Seattle defense on the road....
Obviously, these guys are pretty skilled, and theyre a tough physical bunch that can punk a lot of NFL offenses. But I can't get the notion out of my head that their defense is predicated upon the physicality induced through that ridiculous home field advantage @ home. So much of defense is emotion and without the crowd behind them - it can be tough to get after it play after play throughout the game.

This is the basis for my reasoning behind taking arizona +6.5.... Someone try to convince me otherwise. Stats maybe?

Hard to resist so many points for a divisional home dog. I'm teasing SEA, but that's it. Maybe we can middle.

I reckon the media often blow up crowd support way out of proportion.

There defence has too many talented players to crumble just because they are outside of Centurylink. Sherman, Thomas and Chancellor make up arguably the best secondary in the NFL. So Arizona will really have to depend on Mendenhall having a solid game.

I won't try and convince you otherwise, but I still feel that Seattle is in the top 3 best overall teams in the NFL. If Wilson gets in a groove with his running and short dump off passing, then I would be worried for that +6.5. I'm personally staying away from this game.

Although i do like the player performance bet i saw of 53.5 for Baldwin

numbers back you up......ESPN stats and info

The Seahawks have won 11 straight home games, but the bad news for them is this game will be played in Arizona. The Seahawks are just 5-6 on the road over the last two regular seasons. In road games this season, the Seattle defense is allowing more than 20 points per game, while allowing opposing quarterbacks a 69 Total QBR. That means the average quarterback playing at home against Seattle is basically producing at a Pro Bowl level this year (Cam Newton, Matt Schaub and Andrew Luck).

To compare, in their three home games this season, the Seahawks have allowed just 11 points per game, and an NFL-best opponents’ Total QBR of 15.

I dunno, chino. Schaub choked that game away. Cam had 125 passing yards. Luck must be skewing those stats.

Very selective 5-6 on the road stat, They are 5-1 last 6 regular season 6-2 if you include LY playoffs on the road. Seattle lost a nail biter in Arizona last year in Russell Wilson's first NFL game. Don't place a bet on one stat you read somewhere unless you do some digging to make sure it is in proper context. Good Luck!

your right......and i hate cam newton almost as much as tebow

but there is a decline as compared from being at home. and their playing a divisional rival on a thursday which thursday games mostly lack execution. zona should cover....i got them at +10 with a few parlays.

The wild card is Palmer, we know he will throw a pick or two. but will it give the hawks plus field position and lead to an easy score?

a lot of familiarity between Sherman and Larry....should be a good match-up to watch
