    Coaching error?
Regardless of the 2H, the game was decided by that 10 or 14 pt turnaround at the end of the 1H.

18 seconds left, Cards call time-out on 1st down at the two. Their last time-out. I don't know how long it would have taken Warner to spike the ball, but after the time-out the Steelers knew it would be three passes.

This was the perfect spot for Hightower to run it in, as he has done all season with balls inside the 5 yard line. If he doesn't get it in, then call the time-out. That leaves a pass and a FG attempt.

The time-out to stop the clock on 1st down helped the Steelers tremendously in terms of not having to (seriously) defend against the run.

Your point may be true but anyone who has coached I'm sure can tell you that "game management" is one of the harder tasks of the game... Things happen so quickly and you have to adjust personal as well as get the play in before they turn off the headsets in the helmets (about 10 on play clock) and that's just TWO aspects during every play...

This is not H.S. or college but the NFL in the Super Bowl so I can imagine there was so much happening on the sidelines.. When he got tackled they needed to make the decision NOW and have very very little time to think about things and especially with other coaches in your ear at once... It very easy to second guess yourself as a coach...
