The Best in-Depth info I've even seen
A friend of mine got me in touch with a guy who does research for a sports network and he showed me a great sheet with a ridiculous amount of info.

Anyone who intends to put money on the game should take a look at it.

    his email is xxxxxxxxxxx

Strong plays just jump out. 'A ridiculous amount of info' is seldom a good thing.

It's a football game. We're not planning the invasion of Normandy.

If you need more than 10 minutes to make a decision on this game (or 5 minutes per prop), you're wasting your time.

I spent close to 30 hours pricing props... Sorry I wasted it *sigh*

ya, but you no what the difference is? you make money betting? haha

i my self normally take 20-30 minutes looking at pics, research and thining bout them before finalizing my picks. Props wont take as much time EACH, but ill prob spend a total of 3-4 hours thinking bout the props.

I saw somewhere, maybe it was on this site elsewhere, that someone was offering 300 props on the SB.

As any person experienced in sports wagering knows, the more plays you make, the worse off you generally are. It's crazy to have action on 50 props unless you don't care about your bottom line.

So, out of 300 props, you can go down the list and select probably 10 percent (30) that interest you. Of those, you probably pursue half (15) because the odds are favorable or you have a strong opinion. You ought to be able to thoroughly research 15 props in two hours.

Yes, you could go back and note Edgerrin James' game-by-game rushing totals to think you know everything there is to know about his chances in the SB. But you won't convince me that his rushing total in Week 3 has anything to do with what's going to happen this weekend. As someone else said earlier, too much information can be a dangerous thing.

Well, finding +EV props is more important than focusing only on the ones that interest you. And no, there is nothing wrong with betting 40ish +EV props if you find that many. Volume is the advantage bettor's friend.

Different approaches. I spend thousands of hours on developing working systems (NFL and NHL). Once those are in place, the plays are easy to recognize.

(I also spend a ridiculous amount of time on analyzing the NBA, and some on MLB. Without much success).

A large portion of the time was spent parsing NFL play-by-play data. I already have models for a bunch of props, so the bulk of the time was spent on props I hadn't made numbers for before (since this is my first Super Bowl in Vegas).

It's not that tough to find more NFL data than you could ever use online.

I bet 20+ props per day on average.

Justin, I've never looked at props, always figured them kind of like the "crazy crapper" bets in craps.

How do you cap a prop bet? You can give me the elevator pitch description.

Many props are easy money curious. You can use the poisson distribution for lots of them (as wong describes in sharp sports betting). lots of other ways to price things too. poke around several books and you'll figure it out.

Look at some of Justin's videos on this site. He has some interesting insightful stuff.
