This game has been boiling my brain because i really liked the way both teams played this year. Kevin Mawae is Doubtful for the game and i really can't stress how big i think this is going to be versus the organized chaos of Baltimore. Lucky thing for Tennessee is this game is at home so the centre wont have to deal with the noise. Leroy Harris is his name, a second year player out of N.C. State who has started one game this season. That was the last game of the season when they faced Indianapolis. Keep in mind Kevin Mawae is a pro-bowler so just wow, it's such a huge downgrade in my opinion and whether he is able to take in the organized chaos and then block ray lewis and bart scott and ngata will definitely be a big factor in this game. Could you imagine if Baltimore is able to exploit him, it could hurt the Titans run game a lot which hurts even more in playoff football.
Getting of the Kevin Mawae injury, Tennessee's defense should be fully stocked with two exceptions, Dave Ball, who is a backup defensive end to kearse and vanden bosh, but would've come in handy keeping those boys fresh, or if they get injured. Also questionable (which in playoff football means he'll probably play), is David Thorton whos a pretty bomb linebacker, real fast to the ball. Eitherway they should be able to get in Flaccos face and organize some chaos of there own. They matchup rather well seeing how Baltimore likes to pound the ball, and they'll have to pound it right into Albert haynesworth and the boys. Lets not have his absence fool you, this man makes this defense a whole lot better and gets penetration regardless of who is on the other side of him. Baltimore is most likely going to be forced into a lot of third and long situations, and with such a good defense punting the ball is a lovely goddamn thing as long as they don't turn the ball over which Flacco did twice, although to his credit, it was his fifth game in the nfl and the extra experience probably helped him at least a bit.
In a defensive game like this i really think buying a half point at +3.5 makes it a really good play because i don't see Tennessee winning by more than a field goal, maybe even worth a moneyline play. I didn't go into Baltimores defense cause if you dont know about these boys yet then you probably shouldnt be bettting this game lol
