Line movement in this one makes the Colts too good a value to pass up. Indy will get their '06 season off to a good start.
Am I missing something here? Why all the love for the home team Rams? Were they world beaters a year ago that just missed out in the playoffs a year ago? No! Do they return a veteran group with an experienced coaching staff looking to make a mark in '06? No!
Then what's the story with the line movement here?
This puppy opened up with the Rams laying less than a FG and has been bought up all week to its current number. I'm just not seeing it people!
The Colts are still a solid club on both sides of the ball. They have an experienced coaching staff in place, and will no doubt want to get the '06 season started off on the right foot after bowing out early in last year's postseason. Maybe the fact that they went 0-5 SU in the preseason has many running in herds to back the Rams. Indy does have a number of injuries to many of their defensive starters, but they weren't going to play much in this one anyway.
The Rams also plan on doing a bunch of running in this one as new HC Scott Linehan wants his offense to put forth more of a balanced attack. There are a number of injuries on both sides of the ball.
This is Week 1 people, and it's very rare to see a line over 3. The line value is too much to overlook, so back the Colts who just might have all those steam players throwing their beverages at the TV when the clock runs out.
