I've never seen a game turn like this game did. Virginia was up 54-39 with 9 minutes left, total control, and they lose. And Virginia is a team that slows it down and if they get up its over. Shocking game to say the least.

Virginia had been 54-1 since 2005 when up by at least 14 at halftime. They were up 15 with 9 minutes left. 5dimes wasn't even listing a ML thinking the game was over at that point. This is a game you'll never see again your life.

A team down 15 under 10 minutes left hardly ever wins.

An 8 point underdog in that situation might win 1% of the time.

Horrible coaching down the stretch by Tony Bennett. How many times did they break the Cuse press, then immediately try and go for the fast break layup and miss rather than just pulling the ball out and setting up an offense (ya know the gameplan they executed to go up by 17 points...) Syracuse did not out play them, they were out coached.

It just made absolutely no sense while watching it. You'd think someone would have had the sense to yell "HEY STOP IT YOU IDIOTS" after they missed the 4th layup in a row

That's true. There's been 3 epic comeback games in this year's tourney - Purdue, Virginia, Northern Iowa.

There weren't any games like that the last 5 years. Just one of those years. I do think the shortened shot clock this year's causing more swings in the game.
