I don't like it at all. I see Marquette getting the big upset and all heads turning on who will be the next #1 team

The thing about Marquette is that they dont shoot the 3 ball well at all for a small team. They try to penetrate a lot and I think UConn's interior defense will pose a lot of problems. However, Thabeet could get into early foul trouble on the road in a big game

Uconn will prob grab almost every board in the game for a second chance shots. Uconn offense is going to be hard to handle for Marqutte. and the best part Uconn has a very good defense. I can see Uconn winnig this one easily

I agree...if Marquette shoots absolutely unreal they'll win...otherwise it's UConn's game..plus Calhoun will be in a pissed off mood with all that's been said the past couple of days...he will want a big win for the university....

The Governor even said something about Calhoun...you know he wants a win bad...and the players want to make it happen just as bad...

UCONN is the wrong call on this one. Marquette is 19-1 straight up in thier last 20 home games. Both teams come in ice cold with 1-4 ats records in their last 5, UCONN has a stellar record with only two losses on the year, but Marquette is holding their own with a 15-2 straight up run coming into tomorrow's game. They shoot damn near identical percentages with UCONN at 47.5 and Marquette shooting 74%. But as far as free throw shooting is concerned, UCONN only shoots 68% from the line which is crucial when trying to win on the road in the Big East against a good Big East team. The Golden Eagles make 6.9 threes per game compared to UCONN's 4.6. Marquette also has the advantage in the steals department averaging 8.5 per game to UCONN's 5.9. The only significant edge that the Huskies have in this matchup is in the rebounding department. But with Thabeet nursing his sore shoulder things may even up a bit.

Totals players will find that the over is a sterling 3-0 in games between these two teams with average totals lines of 142, and actual combined game scores of 159. The totals line for this game is 142.5

UCONN is primed for an upset with only two losses on the year, and a seemingly clear path to being named the number 1 team in America with Pittsburgh going down. That which looks easy most often is very much the contrary. Give me the home team with the short chalk.

Is Calhoun playing? What does this have to do with the game? He'll get a couple of technicals? Please explain what this means. Thanks!

No he's not playing...but coaching counts ...and the heat he took for his comments can only bring his players closer as an "us against the world" feeling...also Pitt lost so UConn can be #1 again...Calhoun is going for his 800th win as well...they haven't lost on the road and Thabeet is 7'3" ...5 inches taller than his opponent trying to guard him...until UConn falls on their ass and loses one of these I'll take them....Marquette can be a streaky team that relies on their shooting percentage where UConn can win even if they don't shoot well as they hold a big defensive advantage holding opps to 37% while Marquette gives up 43%...they also average 8 blocks a game compared to 3 for Marquette...so from the start the edge on defensive is UConn....rebounding UConn...with both even offensively....
