guru's halftime play

hoop - i like it; two slowdown teams that should play in the 20s first half.

how to you like the USC/ASU under (124.5)? both teams shot well last time out, and USC has played some very low-scoring games on the road this year. similar to drake/illinois st, both teams also slow it down (USC 53 shots/game, ASU 49) and need this one a lot (ASU to try and keep up with UW in PAC10, USC to get into tourney from the bubble).

I like hoop guru's drake/ill st 1H under. So far as the USC/ASU under, I'm all ears. Please talk me out of it. The low number (124.5) is good enough reason, but is there anything beyond that that you have in mind? This games's hard to ignore, as it meets the parameters of a system that operates at over 67% percent. Basically, when these types of teams meet in this situation, they generally score in the 50s. Thanks.

My visceral reaction is why not - Drake's coming apart at the seams and Illinois State is the type of team to take the air out of the ball. My problem are the 2Hs they played against Creighton (90) and Bradley (72). This is not last year's Drake team and they are clearly capable of rolling over and dying at home. I guess my verdict is that i like it but don't love it. The same kind of play on the Creighton/SIU game yesterday [slightly larger halftime spread] would've been attractive, but those teams combined for 81.

You and I been a right on a lot of unders. You pick a total to go under for the game. I like that under and I all do is take the halftime under on that game. It works but I do not know how. You tell me some unders tommorrow.

So far that USC score looks really good. I took USC +4 half and USC/arizona st under 58 1st half.

agreed - there is definitely some quality collaboration there. small slate monday, but i'll try to get some under ideas together and posted asap tomorrow. i have some friends in vegas through tomorrow and they want some solid tips.

another butter first half under. nice call, hoop. great to cash my biggest wager of the week. sorry bout the usc 1H +4 - that 6-0 ASU run killed it, and USC just gave em a couple too many open 3-point looks.

With the right teams, these first half unders are fkn gold. certain conferences especially [PAC10, CAA] have some nice value and half splits that seem pretty identifiable. Plus, game totals are so unpredictable, between OT and fouling.
