8.5 is a big favorite nowadays?

I wonder what UNC vs scrub team lines are called then.

LT Profits, right now I would be against you on this one. Here is my case. There is no way the difference between the 35th and 47th RPI teams is 8.5, especially when South Carolina has a win against them SU @ home. The money is 52-48% on South Carolina, but it is not big enough to be considered a bet against the public. South Carolina's only away loss that was bigger than the spread here was @ LSU, all of the rest have been closer than the points being laid today. The over 151 looks like a better play here. All this being said, there are better games on the board and I will not be betting South Carolina. Either way best of luck!

i dont see why people like florida here.
they just got smashed at tenn and they lost the first game on pure stupidity by missing that free throw. to me south carolina looks like the only play on this one...i think i will stay away unless someone knows something about this game that i dont.

Something amusing I just read, the Gators are 2-55 ATS on Tuesday.

                  Where to begin? LOL

Florida is 13-0 at home while winning by an average of 18.8 points

RPI is rubbish, Pomeroy Ratings are much more meaningful. Florida is ranked 31 by Pomeroy, South Carolina is ranked 53.

But here is the clincher for me: Florida ranks 19th in the country in adjusted offensive efficiency (adjusted for schedule), and South Carolina is allowing opponents to shoot 50.5 percent from the floor on the road! Seems like a nightmarish matchup to me.

I like your breakdown here. I was putting the line at -2 to -3.5 Florida. I think there is tremendous value in taking the Gamecocks. I have seen Florida self destruct so many times this year.

Fla has the edge with the HCA but I still think its to many points to be giving SC.
coupled with an SEC matchup where just about all games are rivals and you never know what will happen.

At the end of the day, we'll know why the bookmakers set the line that high.

As for self-destruction practice makes perfect. Especially against a team trying to make the tourney.

If Cocks want to make the Big Dance, they have to play some defense on the road. I see no evidence why they will start doing that tonight.

                                We shall see.

                                Good Luck to All!

I like Purdue by about 4. I see line has moved from -2 to -1.5, so they may be playable, especially if game hits Pick.
