5 Unit Play: Pittsburgh (-1)


other games I'm looking at are Florida, Northern Iowa, and maybe the Pitt/WV game. I'll play the first 2 games but I'm not sure where these lines are going to move so I'll wait it out and hawkeye it a while.

Just home from work, didn't even look at lines except what you posted in Sat's thread. Had Pitt -3, MiST-4, Louis.+5, Fl-3. MichSt & Pitt IMO look real strong! Losing to NW, can't afford another (any injuries though?) and Pitt I think is the best playing team right now in BEast.

Vandy is like Tenn. with young talent, Fl. should take care of business?
Louis. no doubt will be better than Cuse by end of year, but right now at home if had to bet would probably go with Cuse if at -1. Haven't really looked into games yet.

Anyway, once again great job on picking the games that count most right. That's the bottom line.

From the way Louisville's played the last few games, I think they are a legit top 10 team RIGHT NOW. The team could be scary good because they have a few things on offense they really need to work on. I'm not sold on Syracuse yet, Flynn should turn the ball over a lot and Syracuse's shooters will struggle finding shots with the active 2-3 that Louisville plays. UL may play a 2-3 zone but if you've watched us this year, you know that its a VERY ACTIVE zone (almost to a fault). Onauku (sp?) shoots a very high percentage from the field but I think he will also struggle because Louisville is a very good shot blocking team. Louisville just has to put the ball in the basket some early in the game to set up the press.

That's great pick.... I think Syracuse is over rated in this case. I took money line as well on this game. Pays a little bit better. GL

Looking into the game more, probably stay away, Flynn was horrible against Pitt, Cuse FT% in close games, plus went back and they've lost alot more games the last few years at the Dome than I thought. TPowell, I know you keep it honest with your team, so if like them here, I gotta stay away.

TP, I see the Pitt. line is really swinging. At +1.5 on some books. I also don't know why so many people are liking Northern Iowa. Let me know what edge you think they have.

I like your Louisville play and think they wil cover by about 5. My power point spread figures have the MSU game off by 4 points. Though I like MSU the spread is not a good one for me. Good luck on your games.
