    Georgetown +2
Am I missing something because I was expecting Georgetown to be a favourite over Notre Dame.

85% of the public is on Georgetown right now, but there has been a reverse line movement from +1, to +2.

ND is dam good at home. Also have the POY on the team and can shoot the 3 ball well at home with Ayers and McAlarney. I hope public keeps pounding Gtown so I feel good about ND.

Exactly. The public saw G-town win at UCONN and think ND should be no problem. The line will hit 3 and head back to 2.

Was thinking about ND but idk yet. Georgetown is a little overrated IMO. They are well coached but they just arent very deep

I really am confused by your assumption that #11 Georgetown would be the favorite over #7 Notre Dame AT Notre Dame.

We all know ratings dont mean a whole lot...... and home court isnt everything (see BC vs NC) but REALLY? You are shocked about this line?

I think ND is the easy pick here. Should be a good game. I just dont see them losing this game at home.

ND has the nation's longest home winning streak winning streak at 43.

And they play legit teams at home such as the Big East foes. Unlike BYU who had the longest win streak snapped by Wake, playing their MWC teams.

I'm still shocked over your comment about Georgetown should be the favorite. I'm not quite sure what made you think they would be favored in this game.

Sure Georgetown MIGHT win...... but that doesn't mean anything. That would be like me saying on Sunday...... I can't believe that North Carolina is favored over BC! I thought BC would be the fav! Ok.... I'm being a bit of a smart a$$ but you get my point.

The line is now ND-3.... so you should be even MORE happy now!

Yet another poor sap basing plays on what others are doing.

your missing the fact that it is very hard to win on the road in the Big East, even if you are playing well.

I actually never watch NCAA BB =) (in my life i think ive watched maybe 2 or 3 games)

Im just trying to expand my sports betting horizons by betting NCAA BB this year.

I have developed my own power ranking system and so far im doing well although I just started (something like 6-1).

Im not touching the spread, because when I did what I do, I got 76-76. I told myself I would just take the underdog its gonna be hard to take G-Town as a road dog, they beat UConn because UConn cant shoot, Notre Dame can. As I stated, if GTown keeps Notre Dame under 80 they have a good chance though.

I dont even know what the Big East or Big 10 (or is it called PAC 10) is =)

All I know is that I have never watched NCAA FB before in my life and this year I made a good amount of money on it (even more than NFL which I watch all the time!).

I think sometimes that watching games and knowing how good a team is supposed to be impairs my judgement. When I start betting on teams I know nothing about im more objective.

anyways ill see how it works out for me.

Ive decided to pass on this game though.

Very true, lots of good points, here was my starting angle and reasoning and where I'm at now. I started off thinking along the lines of Gtown beats Uconn then comes home and loses to Pitt, which was one of the easiest picks all year. Now they travel to ND and are getting points, many think that Gtown is good road team because they beat Uconn and also there is the rebound factor thinking they will bounce back from a loss. It was for this reason that I started off on ND because I figured all the average Joe's would love Gtown. I started to look a little closer, and ND is coming off a loss as well, not only that they are coming home to the longest active current win streak. I know they are a great home team, but I think breaking this streak might be enough of a motivating factor to get Gtown fired up enough to win this game. Gtown has the better athletes and ND has the better shooters, in a toss up game like this I like the team that will be playing harder and looser and I think tonight that will be Gtown. ND no doubt will be playing very hard, but due to the win streak and the pressure of keeping it alive, I think they might also be a little tight. It is not a play for me yet, and I'm trying to examine all the angles, but this one looks like it could be a big play for me.

You might want to look into that MSState and W. Kentucky game if you looking for a big play.

I'm sure you are very familiar with trap games and shady lines. And yes they work sometimes and sometimes they don't as with anything. Shady lines for me are a key determining factor when picking a game, because I feel the odds makers are better the us the bettor. At first glance I saw ND -2 and said wow ND favored over Gtown this game should be a pick or even Gtown -2. After looking at the #'s I was very wrong, this is not your dads Notre Dame basketball this team is actually very good. They are #7 in the country and have won an astonishing 43 games in a row not only should they be the favorite, they should be favored by atleast 4 maybe 5. That being said, Gtown coming off a loss at home, they are going on the road, there is less pressure when playing on the road because you are not expected to win, especially going up against the longest home win streak in the country. As I said this is not a play for me yet, but I'm liking Gtown +125 more and more.

strictly, I booked ND -2 this morning, just like you I am not much for giving long speeches on picks but in Big East play you must protect your home court, simple as that. If you lose at home you won't be going to the tournament come March because road wins in this conference come at a premium. Now, we haven't even come close to seeing how strong this ND team can be as they have really under achieved thus far this season but you can bet your ass they show up tonight. They have to, if they don't stop the bleeding now then they will be in some serious trouble. Also, I have a really hard time thinking that Gtown is going to start the Big East conference play with road wins against UConn and ND back to back.

                                                BOOM!

Very good point, I hope the game is just leave alone for me so I'm not against you. I'll take a look at the total, maybe over? Who knows I'll figure something out I just hope I figure the right thing out.

theyre about equal on offense, but gt is a lot better than nd on defense

and home court isnt going to make up for the difference

                                                    give me gt +138

These two have played the over 9 of the last 13. And have played the over in South Bend 5 out of the last 6 so over doesn't look too bad, but not going to touch that as ND has not been the scoring machine they were last year thus far. I could see this game being played 71-65 final. Good Luck anyways, we shall see what develops.

I like Notre Dame here as the public still has Georgetown fresh in their minds after upsetting UConn.Notre Dame should win this one and with a 43 game home winning streak why would you bet Georgetown.Don't be a sucker!!!
