Anyone that's 7/5 betting Houston worried about line movement? They've gone from -1 to +1 at my book.

+1 -1 does not really matter. Basically same thing. Not many games are decided by 1pt. There was a discussion about line movement in the past. jUst a way for books to get even money on both sides so they make money no matter what. Dont sweat the linemovement

I know not many games are decided by 1 point.
What I'm trying to get at is I know numerous sharp guys that read lines a lot, and they all work on the belief that it's bad news for a fave like Houston to move to underdog.
People following everything here are putting a big chunk of change on Houston and a slight smaller chunk on Philly and probably are a little edgy like I am

anyone know if cousins is playing for SAC? I am considering a parlay with MIA, but trying to choose best possible teams. I would be taking Mia ML, but want to avoid any possible upsets looking ahead.

If the amount that anyone bets make that person on edge, then they are betting way to much against their BR. No one should bet an amount that makes them edgy

Ok but wouldn't you agree that if you are following 2 systems that butt head to head, one bet being the final bet and the other the 2nd from last, it's human nature to be " nervous with anticipation"?
Maybe edgy was a bad word choice

Basically begging for NO 1 point game. I am skipping my C bet and playing my Houston D bet for 4.41 less units( basically cancelling two out to save juice). If Philly loses, I will play them for a normal D bet amount next game. If they win, both series will be over, and I will be down the same amount I would have been if I played both games, less the extra juice money that I saved (0.44 units), so in essance, I would be ahead. If the lines were further apart, I would play Phil on the M/L and Houston on spread, hoping to hit both. As I said, I am only hoping for no 1 point Philadelphia win, or I will lose money. System will be graded, however, on Phil. M/L.

You should always look ahead to a team's next 4 games to see who their opponents will be before starting a series. See if a potential late series head-head matchup exists, then decide how you wish to proceed. Don't wait for it to happen and surprise yourself.

Not trying to be critical but IMHO, if you are be a system player, you just play it out and the amount of money on the table shouldn't affect you. My feeling has always been that the money bet should not have any baring on your emotions if you have an edge in what ever game you are playing. Take blackjack as a card counter, you could have lost 10 big bets in a row, but if the count is still high you need to make another big bet without it affecting you.
I guess I just take a hard place as a system player. No offense at all, just making a comment.

None taken... its just my humble opinion that it's human nature to be nervous in this situation. Best of luck to all

Everybody needs to settle down and quit analyzing these games for tonight. Manage your bankroll and it will all work out in the end. Just place your bets and go with the proven system. Put your emotions on the shelf. I for one believe all three system plays will cover.

Problem is there's 4 system plays not three... and two of them are going head to head...that's what our friendly discussion has been about

awesome another system loss. Even using half a percent per unit, the 7/5 is single highhandedly killing my BR.
So Houston is a full blown JM system loss even with buying the three points right? Shit happens...

What's really funny, even though it's probably old news, is I just watched a video by Justin7 which states that people who purchase JM's stuff are encouraged to also sign up at a particular sportsbook (I'll leave it nameless). When you do so through JM's link they give you lines that are 2 points off of other books, so when you do the 3 point buy for -170 it's like buying ONE point at other books. Like I said, probably old news, but I found it funny.
P.S. If you read this Justin7...do the ladies love the chest hair?

At least the Charlotte win buffers the loss somewhat...
Do losses suck? sure do. I've come to realize quickly that you just can't let emotion get into your betting- have faith in the system(as the backtesting results have shown) and you WILL profit long-term.
