Philadelphia 76ers -7: Can't believe this line has gotten worse since last night, I seriously expected it to go the other way with huge money on Boston, but RLM resulted and now the line is worse. Regardless, I am rolling with Philly here, even at -7. My main reason pretty much is based on the line and public %. I may be mistaken here but I just don't see how this is not a public trap. Celtics went from +5.5 to +7 with majority on them, and that is a huge line movement. Philly has already blown out the C's before at home so them covering this spread is not far fetched. Bottom line, Boston is as square is it gets and I like my chances fading that here.
Detroit Pistons +9: Another public fade but I like Pistons at home getting 9 points. Earlier this season they covered a nearly identical spread and I'd expect them to come out knowing they will be able to keep this game close and try to win. Heat are a team capable of covering even these large spreads within a matter of minutes anytime they wake up their defense. However, I'm going to rely on them to come in with the mentality to simply get a win here and focus their attention on one of their biggest games this season on Sunday vs OKC (knowing they may be be potentially facing their NBA finals opponent). Similar to the Phoenix game at home, where it was obvious Miami was playing loose and when it mattered, they just pulled through with a win and PHX covered the spread. Another factor working in favour of this play is obviously just the general idea that any team wants to impress their home crowd by putting up a fight against the Heat. And I believe Pistons have this mentality when playing big name teams.
