Hey buddy, glad to see you around these parts!

RAS is smoking hot so far this season; you can get their picks for free this season, last year they charged $799 for their WNBA package. Just go to their Twitter @RASpicks.

The public is also killing WNBA so far this season. Hopefully that trend will not continue because that's not how I've made my money on this sport the past 3 years. But it's been tough to get on a roll so far.

In order to cap WNBA on your own, there are a lot of resources including www.wnba.com, Covers (go to Matchups then WNBA and you'll get info on all previous games between the teams playing, plus current stats on each team), and good old-fashioned game-watching. I caution you, however, that watching WNBA games can be hazardous for your health. So if you have a heart problem, keep an aspirin nearby!

Seriously, you can also read what some of the other posters here do to find out how they cap their games. LTA does nice writeups on his plays, and there are several others who have good commentary.

          Good luck!

            I second this.

Also, the style of play in the WNBA is really different from NBA although the game is the same.

Everyone likes to act like beating the WNBA market is easy, and while it may be more beatable than MLB/NBA/NFL, it certainly isn't cake. You can do decently if you are able to make good numbers and shop lines efficiently, but to do better than decentl you are going to have to watch some games and be able to add some quality subjective analysis to the mix. Something that it seems not many people are willing and/or capable of doing.
Other than RAS, I know of no way to just "join" a syndicate (and yes, obv, I'm labelling RAS a kind of a syndicate; it's a publicly available one). -PokerJoe Oct 2010

Ed, is the "free pass" for this season just for this season, or will you be charging again next year? I think it was a good move by the way, and congrats on your success so far. It's nice to see most people getting the actual line you put out without having to buy points.

I think it's more that you're trying to make what you're doing harder than it is.

I'm a numbers guy so I like to have data to look at first. As with the NBA you can't just rely on those and I think for those that watch the games and can compare or see what their numbers are showing will find more advantages. I don't really see having to cap for lack of effort as you see from the guys in the NBA due to limited B2B situations and travel probably wears on the them less.

Also with more talent than in the past but still limited you have to pay more attention to injuries as it's harder to replace your starters so you can't just ignore it when players or note go down. I also don't know how much the revenge or motivation factor comes into play. I haven't been exposed enough yet to say whether certain teams just go at each other harder. I know this comes into play a lot in the NBA...not so sure about this league though.

Not sure, just have to see how things pan out. WNBA started later than usual this year, so we felt we wouldn't be able to dedicate a full 10 weeks without interfering with college football. We'll probably get less active in the WNBA market in another week or two as CFB gets closer. Also, a lot depends on what the stability of the market is next year. It is not looking good these days for U.S. facing post-ups.

BTW, plenty of people were always able to get our numbers on a consistent basis. They are just a lot less vocal on forums than the ones who do not. It just takes time, effort, and resources that not everyone is willing or able to dedicate. It certainly not a service for everyone, as we state right on our home page. So far we're getting mostly positive feedback on releasing without an advanced warning. Hopefully an improved release system and protocol will make things easier than they were in the past once the pay service resumes.

                            Thanks for the props.
