LTA's NBA Plays

1. How many books are recommended? I'm set up at Betonline but it seems some of those here have more than one. If another is needed, who do you recommend? I'm in the USA

2. Do you wager single games or 2-3 game parlays?

As far as I understand it all of LTA's plays are single game recommendations. Occasionally, you'll see him throw down a parlay, but usually as an "optional" wager. Meaning it doesn't count against his yearly stats.

All that said you could (hypothetically) play each of his lines individually at the recommended units, then lay a small parlay on the side in the chance that LTA sweeps the picks.

U need at a minimum two books. One "sharp" book like the greek or 5 dimes or bookmaker. U will get early lines and lines on faves at better lines. U need on "square" book for getting better lines on dogs like bodog, but these lines are late releasing alot of times. U want as many as u can stand however to get the best price. 1/2 pts and 10 cents here and there on moneylines add up. Single game plays are really the only way to go, with sound money mgmt. no more than 3-5% of bankroll per play=1x or unit. Stick with LtA and u will be fine.

LTA, what do you think of the Nets/Raptors game. I like Tor -6 and leaning the under too. Tor is the slowest team according to PACE numbers and the nets are 4th slowest. The nets are just horrible on both sides of the floor and Tor has played very tough to start the year.

NBA 2011-2012 Regular Season 1/6/2012

Cavaliers/Timberwolves over (198) 1x (Locked)

This one started to move, so I'm jumping it now. I should have locked it in last night but wanted to see the ref assignments first. Even though those assignments are not favorable, I still like this over play. Callahan and Mott are two of the better "under" leaning refs last season. However, before last season, they generally leaned slightly to the over. Therefore, I will take a shot and depend more on the players in this one than the expectation of a huge number of fouls. Bottom line is that both teams shot well below their average in FG%, 3pt% and FT% in their last game. The Cavs shot under 30% and the Wolves right at 40%. I expect much better shooting today and especially from the 3pt line where these two teams are top 10 in the league. Both offenses are also top 11 in OEFF, which tells me that we can expect some efficient offensive basketball today. I expect this to be a showcase for two young point guards in Rubio and Irving, both of whom had rough games in their last outting. The Wolves are still running quite a bit this year with a PACE in the top 10 and I think they set a fast pace at home tonight. As we know from the Charlotte game, the Cavs are willing to run when invited and I expect they will follow suit tonight. We also have the Pinny stopper on our side today as they have been juicing 197 at -128 all night. That is significant. I have this game set at 201, giving us a full 3 points in value. Based on the foregoing, I am rolling with the over for 1x. Good luck.

Bulls/Magic under (182) 1x (Locked)

No time for a writeup, but we have two teams that play a slow PACE ranked in the bottom 10 and great defense ranked top 8 in DEFF. Both teams are efficient on offense, but Rose is banged up and I think both teams will be content to play a half court game. The refs are Mauer, Goble and Richardson. Not the best crew for an under, but not the worst either. I have this game set at 179, so we are getting 3 points of value. Based on the foregoing, I am rolling with the under for 1x. Good luck.

Sorry guys, no time to answer any questions because of work today. In this game, public perception of portland has never been higher because of last nights beat down of the lakers with fast paced offense. However, the suns dont have bynum, kobe or gasol to answer. This is a great let down spot in terms of scoring because the suns are no longer an upper echelon team and portland won't be as pumped as they were last night at home. It would be tough for them to recreate what they did last night and the suns can't answer even if they do. The suns are bottom 10 in PACE and have a better DEFF score than OEFF. With portland still playing great defense, I think we see a game that stays around 190. The refs suck for an under with fraher assigned, but I will take that risk because the books and public are giving us too much value on the under to pass up. I have this game set at 192 giving us 5 points of variance between my model and the current number. Based on the foregoing, I am rolling with the under for 1x. Good luck.

Actually I did just that NOREGRETS, I have more faith in LTA than the early line I beat this morning . 2nd middle for me today as I have the Hornets +3 and Atlanta +1 on another. The Hornet one was more of a buy out based on the line movement, but maybe I'll get lucky.

Shaping up as a tough night. Got the Wiz, but the Bulls are shooting at 59% right now in the 3rd quarter and Cavs/Pups stopped scoring in the 3rd quarter. Going to need a 30 point 4th quarter in the Bulls game and a 60 point 4th quarter in the Cavs game
