Hey LTA, pinny has it at 187.5 now, still a go or should I wait and see if the line increase, otherwise no go?

187.5 @ 5Dimes as well. Not sure I'm comfortable with that number. A bit low

Guys, that's only a decision you can make. I provided you with my analysis and projected total. You must decide from there if you can't get my number. Please refer to post #870. Thanks and good luck

Out of the three home games for the Blazers only one ended up with a total below 189.5 (against the Kings), with the Blazers playing b2b after having played Philly the night before. The other two went way over the current line (Denver and Philly). Now I know these two teams can not be compared with the current Lakers, who twice went under the total in away games scoring 189 and 191 points , but I still feel this one is set a bit to low.

I feel safer betting the spread (-3 Portland) with the Lakers not covering their previous away matches and Portland covering two out of three as home favs (the other one pushed). Any insight?
Follow your gut....I also lean portland, but I like the under much more. The market seems to agree with my assessment that the under is the play with the total plummeting to 186.5. I am very happy with my under play at the moment. GL on whatever you decide

the line is at 186.5, with that logic people get burned in the long haul just saying. Under was the play, but like an idiot, i thought it would have gone up with the public betting away on the under. I wake up and its down about 5 points. I do like this Portland bet alot though, lets get it

Someone just responded to this type of post the other day. LTA puts the number that he thinks the game should be capped at, in this case 187. So whatever line you're able to get (in this case 187.5) then becomes your own choice whether to bet the game or not. LTA puts his capped total in his writeups everytime. People need to start making their own decisions about plays based on what kind of number their book is currently at.

This number has shot down like a rock. However, I am seeing most plays / cash on the over??? Is this a prime case of RLM? If so, I would still pound the current number for he under.

Heat is the only line that has moved up...all the rest dropping. Any thoughts on the heat over 188.5?

Yikes, the line has moved a lot. Still getting used to these basketball lines.

(PS - I still can't bring myself to watch a full game, as I'm not into the sport, but I have no issue making money on it by tailing).

The Sacramento Kings fired coach Paul Westphal Thursday, hours after the team suffered a 27-point loss to the Denver Nuggets and just four days after the coach openly feuded with center DeMarcus Cousins.
Kings assistant Keith Smart will coach the team in Thursday’s home game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
                                                    More From Marc J. Spears

The Kings fired coach Paul Westphal just days after he banished DeMarcus Cousins for one game.
                                                    (AP)

In what could ultimately be the franchise’s final season in Sacramento, the Kings have opened with a 2-5 record, worst in the Western Conference. All but one of the losses have been by at least 17 points.
Westphal’s firing comes four days after he banished Cousins from the team for one game, saying the young center demanded a trade. Kings general manager Geoff Petrie and co-owner Joe Maloof had said they supported Westphal’s decision, but also said they have no intention of trading Cousins.
Cousins returned to the Kings on Monday and played in their past two games, but didn’t start.
Westphal was 51-120 in two-plus seasons as coach of the Kings. “Unfortunately, the overall performance level of the team has not approached what we felt was reasonable to expect,” Petrie said in a statement released by the team.
“I would like to thank the Maloof family for the incredible opportunity they gave me to participate in the attempt to bring the Sacramento Kings back to prominence,” Westphal said in a statement. “While the job is far from finished, I am proud of the strides we were able to make.”

Generally in Europe (Soccer, Rugby etc) a trend I see is that when a team's head coach is fired you get a big performance from that team immediately afterwards. I'd imagine its sport generally. I remember Wade Philips getting sacked 2 years ago and the Cowboys winning their next couple of games. Anyone like to throw some light if they feel the Kings might come out and give some extra effort tonight now that Westphal is gone.
