Here's a heads up on the injuries around the league.
Won't be around much tomorrow, so like tevari, I will post early. Sorry onlooker.
Michael Redd
Bucks swingman Michael Redd needed six stitches to close a laceration after being head-butted on Wednesday, but he will play in Friday's game against the Blazers. Yi Jianlian (ankle) will not be available and Mo Williams (abdominal strain) is questionable, so expect Redd, Charlie Villanueva and Andrew Bogut to be very active on Friday.
Tyrus Thomas
Bulls' forward Tyrus Thomas has been suspended by GM John Paxson for two games for missing Wednesday's practice. The absence was unexcused and Thomas is probably not very happy about the fact he's fallen out of the rotation again. Thomas will serve the suspension during Chicago's next two games, sitting out Thursday against Cleveland and Friday at Boston.
Udonis Haslem
Heat forward Udonis Haslem was not with the team for Wednesday night’s game against the Toronto Raptors because of a family emergency. He's expected to rejoin the team in time for Friday’s home game with the Warriors.
Andrei Kirilenko
Jazz forward Andrei Kirilenko is day-to-day with a bruised hip, but did not travel with the team to Phoenix and will not play in Friday's game. Dirk Nowitzki was suspended by the league for his flagrant foul on AK, though Kirilenko isn't holding a grudge, saying, "I don't really think he did it for, like, mean purpose." C.J. Miles will continue to start for Utah while Kirilenko is sidelined.
Andrea Bargnani
Andrea Bargnani played better on Wednesday until leaving the game with a cheek bone injury in the third quarter. AB had 12 points and two threes before being the victim of a flagrant foul by Alexander Johnson. He took an elbow to his cheek and hit his head on the ensuing fall, but X-rays were negative and it doesn't look like he suffered a concussion. More tests will be conducted on Thursday, but for now, Bargnani is day-to-day.
Andris Biedrins
Warriors center Andris Biedrins (appendectomy) is targeting this Friday's game against the Heat as a possible return date, though it all depends on how quickly he can get his conditioning back.
