Boston Bruins 3rd period (-170) is a good spot play today in my opinion. Boston have more quality depth than any other team in the NHL. They are the only team in the NHL that continually rolls all four lines one after another at even strength. This allows them to wear down opponents top lines over the course of a game, and the main reason they are the best 3rd period team in the NHL. Pittsburgh on the other hand are a top heavy team to begin with, and with all the injuries they have right now, their depth is really slim. Pitt is also playing for the second straight night, and 3rd road game in four days. I expect Boston to wear them down physically over the first couple periods, and dominate the third period. Boston have outscored Pitt 9-1 in the third period so far this season in their three previous meetings. I know some people don't like laying that kind of juice, but value is value, and that line has good value even at that number. Even if it doesn't win, a push is far more likely than a loss.Comment -
