    Spurs look banged up, unconfident.
Suns were hot on 3's again. Really didn't expect them to stay this hot. They are clicking a lot better than the Portland series and the reg. season. Sure they got 35 free throws so that helped however the Spurs just don't look like the same team who just put away Dallas. I thought they would show up tonight, no. Looks pretty obvious that Manu Ginobili's 3 shooting just isn't what it was before the broken nose. That band across his nose may be impacting his eyesight. Duncan had 5 fouls, sure the refs did seem to favor Phx to me but they took full advantage.. many SA jumpers were taken off balance and seemed like last-resort shots not el primo shots that you work a play for. I didn't pay close enough attention to see if Parker was getting to the FT line as much as he deserved, but even with the improved hustle of Richard Jefferson they really look like a team that has lost something over the last couple weeks.
If the Suns receive even-handed or advantageous official calls like they did tonight and stay hot on range shots, forget it.. Spurs won't be able to keep up.
Really thought the Suns were due to miss some shots but they are making them when it counts so I wouldn't be surprised at all if this one's over in 5, a split at SA and a win back in Phx. After that, they will get snuffed out by Laker D.

Channing Frye is the reason Suns won that game. He couldnt miss, and he killed every Spurs rally.

All true sir and I didn't catch a lot of the game due to watching hockey but what I was surprised at was the Phx pick n roll/driving to the bucket. Spurs did seem to be going all right on defense and making some shots but just not nearly enough. The dropoff after the half also shocked me. It's still up for grabs in theory though right, since going home gives the obvious advantage. Hopefully did really go "all in" or even half-in on this one single game...Cheers

Fellas, this is not the old Spurs or the old Suns. The Suns will get snuffed out by LA, but they are definitely a top 5 NBA team. There defense has improved and they execute on offense and hit there FT's. They just don't have the horses to run with the Lakers. Unless Cavs get act together we look headed for LA Orlando rematch.

The Spurs needed a shooter to hit open shots. They've got the players to make plays and give teammates open looks, but none of the Spur players can hit those shots on a consistent basis.

Clearly you didnt watch the Suns during the second half of the season. They were the hottest team in the league post trade deadline.

series is far from over. i think its 50/50 that spurs win both games and return back to phoenix 2-2.......then the suns will be feeling a lot of heat and we will see what they are really all about

Suns is money at home. Yadda yadda Spurs beat Dallas yadda. But they only need to travel 4hrs, now they actually have to travel out of state.

I watched them. They weren't playing defense like they are now, and they were still unreliable to maintain leads. They have kicked it up a notch this series even more so than the Portland series. I don't think there's anyone out there (but you perhaps?) who wouldn't say after these two games facing a SA team which just shut the door on Dallas that they aren't playing their best basketball of the year
                                    right now.

I really like this Suns squad and there has been alot of value betting them for awhile because they have changed for the better, but bro the Lakers are a totally different animal than the Spurs or Suns. Also, Spurs haven't proved anything. They beat a weak#2 seed that consisted of nothing but posers. Mavs were a joke by far and everybody jumped on Spurs bandwaggon because they beat a #2 seed. I like the Suns but the Lakers will beat them hands down and win the series in 5 games.

I agree lyons, lakers have too many bigs with speed and shooting ability not to mention shot-blocking ability, and are VERY savvy on game management, clock management.
btw I had Spurs 3 games in the Dallas series so no bandwagon here, the only prob is I've probably given that back in the last two games.. which is ok cuz i bet like 20 games a day anyway.

the only worries are KG's right foot got hurt last game, he skipped practice today and will miss tomorrow's also, but is expected to be 100% (2010 KG 100% that is)
for Friday night. Enough time off. Perkins pulled a muscle in his thigh or something, but will make practice tomorrow. These are very pleasant days for Boston fans, Celtics and Bruins. Will they win Friday ? sure.. think about all the calls the Cavs got and the non-calls.. will that happen again Friday ? we have to check the official crew assignment Friday morning.. but there are no red flags yet..

OK, Fair enough. You do however realize if the Cavs lose that game they are effectively done imo anyways and that would be 4 straight poorly played games for them. I am not a fan of either team so my objective opinion is Cleveland wins Friday.. If not the Celts run way with it basically. I think the books will give us a better indication come Friday.. Currently the sharp books are Cavs -1-1.5 and the square shops are PK. Too early to get a definite lean but it shouls shape by gametime enough to fill in the blanks.

Before this series went to Boston I thought the Cavs were going to win at least 1 in Boston. If not Cleveland is done and the league would be dissappointed I think.

I expected a more enthusiastic performance by the Spurs tonight. Once again my NBA capping is wrong. I have to like them at home for game 3 but I haven't had much success in this NBA playoffs.
