Cavs had to pull out all the guns in game 1 to get the lead they did. I don't think they can do the same for game 2 especially with doc going over the footage. Im really liking the celtics + the points tomorrow.

The 1st game took a miracle to go over, now how you apply that to game two is your call.
I would bet under if I had to make a play

Cavs missed no less than 8 layups in the first half of game 1.
The 2nd half they didn't miss many.....
Take Cavs @ home... Celtics are had their chance last game with a double digit lead in the 3Q and couldn't do it.

Right now I'm really leaning on taking the Over, here is my analysis.
Trends and Line Movement: The last 5 games in this series have gone over. The line started out at 191.5 and 60% of the money is on the under. There was a reverse spread move to 192.5 -- the same thing that happened yesterday when I took the Lakers Jazz Over and cashed in for $500.
Cleveland averages 102.3 ppg and gives up 95.6
Boston Averages 99 ppg and gives up 95.2
May 1, 2010 at CLEVELAND 93-101 192/O
Apr 4, 2010 CLEVELAND 117-113 193/O
Mar 14, 2010 at CLEVELAND 93-104 193.5/O
Feb 25, 2010 CLEVELAND 88-108 192/O
Oct 27, 2009 at CLEVELAND 95-89 183/O
Strategy and Coaching: I think that Boston changes the gameplan to get Pierce more involved in game 2. He's too much of a gamer to have a game like the last one, you will see him take over. He needed a game to feel out the matchup against Jamison. Ray Allen is due to have a hot game. Now that the Cavs will focus on stopping Rondo, Rivers will change the gameplan to make Rondo the assist machine. They often don't waste time pounding the ball down low in a half-court offense because Garnett is an outside threat as well and Big Baby just picks up all the garbage.
LBJ's elbow injury is overrated. It's only getting better with time, not worse. If he was that hurt would he really go out of his way to schedule a press conference to accept the MVP trophy?? Or maybe its a great PR move and he's actually in severe pain and its all a publicity stunt (doubt it)
Regardless, I think the OVER is a really solid play, especially since this is a very physical series and these teams will look to go to the line. Provided the Cavs and Celtics don't bone all their freethrows I predict over 200 points.

Pierce took 17 shots in Game 1 which is 5 shots over his average. Jamison wasn't guarding him, Lebron was. Lebron held him to 1 of 10 shooting in the second half.
Also, I fail to see how holding a press conference and having a hurt elbow have anything to do with one another. Lebron held a similar press conference last year at just about the same time in the playoff schedule. The NBA requires one be held to present the award.

Good points. I have the numbers but I'm not sure how much the Cavs will control the game-for me that is the central factor. It does seem like Bos will come back with more push overall and force the total closer to 200. Cheers

Williams, as far as Lebron guarding Pierce, yes you're right. I was at the game in the cheap seats so I might need to check the my contacts. When James was out, Jameson is the guy who is going to guard Pierce.
Paul Pierce, SF minutes 39 5-17 from the field 1-6 3pt.
You made my point for me: Pierce is too much of a gamer, those shots drop more frequently in game 2.
As for the MVP trophy press conference. I made a bigger deal about it that it really should be. NBA Requirement or not, if he was seriously hurt Lebron would be on lockdown and not in the public eye.

I still don't understand how attending a press conference would affect his arm.
Also, I'm fairly certain that Jamison never guarded Pierce. Lebron only sat 5 minutes and Pierce rested at the same time. Lebron played relaxed on defense in the first quarter and Pierce had 8 or 10 points, but then he shut him down. He mentioned after the game that he felt the arm restricted him slightly on offense so he felt he needed to makeup for it in other areas.
From the Over perspective you should more be focusing on Jamison's offense as his 7-point night was his lowest of the playoffs BY FAR.
