Think it about it some more. Both teams have some mismatches they can exploit. It's hard to believe that Grant Hill is playing the best defense of his career at age 37. Amare is playing the best ball of his career, as is Nash (statistically). And the last time I saw J rich playing like this? The Spurs don't have any big men, there going to get ruined on the O glass this series by Amare and Amnodson and if Lopez comes back.

The Suns are for real man. The Spurs can take this series, but I think this is going to be an epic 7 game series.

Suns only have 1 weakness and that's Nash defensively. Everyone knows it. It's no mystery that Pop will exploit it. Other than that, Grant Hill is fully capable of shutting Ginobli down.

Suns are a really good team, but you need to respect the Spurs history of success. Regular season numbers on this team probably don't tell the whole story.

Suns look solid to me . I know the spurs have owned them for years but there is no value in the spurs at +125 without home court . Wait and hope the spurs lose game 1 and then take them at a better # .

+125 is a terrible line to play on a future, and even more so in a series that could really go either way. Definitely a terrible way to spend your money. Now if one team starts off by taking the first game or two, you might get a much better price on the other team and it might be a more worthwhile bet.

Love the Spurs here, Phoenix is a joke team, plays ZERO D and will catch up to them in this round 100% guaranteed.

portland played D against themselves by slowing it down. Phoenix plays NO D, never have, won't win a thing of consequence until they do

Brock, this isn't the same PHX team as in years past. Grant is playing the best D of his career even at 37, Amare is playing D for the first time in his career, and Dudley and Amondson and big time hustle defenders off the bench. Stop living in the past and stop watching ESPN.

The only people that will be surprised are people that don't watch the suns consistently. I'll come back to this thread when this series goes 7 like I said. It's going to be epic- watch.

Gentry has done alright but he does have some of the most talented players in the league.

No one said they're going to make it to the finals, although, I can name several black coaches (who have just had really talented players like the suns do) who have made it to the finals in recent years including Rivers and Brown. It's all about establishing a sentimental connection with your players.

I saw Gentry`s talent when he was down here with the Heat.
Ironic that Ron Rothstein was the first coach of the Heat ever and years later returned as an assistant coach to be on the bench when the Heat won it all. I looked at Ron that moment and you could tell it was something special as he sat alone un acknowledged on the bench. Rothstein was also the first and only coach of the now defunct wnba miami sol. Why am I writing this?. I aint sure just good trivia I reckon

Suns are no rollever but i believe the spurs will win it in 6 games. The 2-1-2 has always given the suns problem and the spurs will do what they always to the suns. They will isolate nash into being a scorer taking everyone else out of the game. Say what you want about Jason richardson but hes been shooting the ball well lately, not being a good 1 on 1 scorer. With the spacing being taken away his numbers will sorely lack what they have been.

for those of you who are fellow conspiracy theorists here is an angle i see.
the nba owes the suns this series.
after the donaghy officiating crews deprived the suns in their well publicized scandal series vs san antonio, i believe its make up time for the nba.
i expect the suns will get the majority of calls this time, allowing them to advance and get the opportunity to win the title they were denied a few years back.
                                                any opinions on this scenario.

Really hoping the Suns come out firing and win big in game 1. Getting better value than +125 is the way to go, particularly for me since I've gotta time my hedging right for my Suns future bet.

The Spurs have beat the Suns 3 of the last 4 years in the playoffs so that probably is a good play. Suns have home court though but we'll see.

I saw the SPURS on the moneyline yesterday at one shop at +1.70 for game one. Instead of getting +1.20 for the series I would put a little down at this price. THEN YOU WOULD GET MUCH BETTER PRICE GOING INTO GAME #2. or perhaps wagering on SPURS IN 6- since game 7 is in Phoenix. Myself -took the SUNS at +120. gl
