Why Abrines quit on the Thunder

    I've been wondering all season...

I think I'd hate basketball too if I played with Westbrick

That's right. He said a month later he would reveal all in the summer. I assumed it was a health issue, like what happened with Asik whom I believe is retired now.

Thunder play the most joyless, perverse brand of basketball on the planet so it's not surprising a kid that grew up playing team ball lost heart. I expect he'll sign with Barcelona now...

most ridiculous thing I ever heard

the logical answer here is that it was a mental health issue

this is a problem that has been sweeping across the league

Nothing ridiculous about growing to hate something you do constantly, and under pressure to succeed. A lot of poker pros grow to hate playing poker. They do it for money rather than fun, and then after so long it becomes unbearable ...so you just take a break and make some changes and eventually... get back to it.
