Hello everyone. I am not dead and nor have I quit SBR, I love this place, just been really busy lately.

I haven't been around in a while as I have been working 50-80+ hours a week on a project that is now done so I'm planning on posting regularly on SBR again. This co-incides with the beginning of the AFL & NRL seasons and the NBA playoffs, so hopefully will be able to start posting some winners again.

Ok the FACTS...

So hypothetically if someone had followed my NBA plays since the beginning of the thread they would be up 27-28 Units in less than half a season. The problem was as I was doing well and building a following more people started jumping on board and un-fortunately that coincided with a really poor run of form. The "world's greatest NBA handicapper" SweetJones55 has just been through a horrible losing streak himself and people have to pay money for those plays! Variance can be savage and not only that I'll be the first to admit that my handicapping was just plain bad. I was in unfamiliar territory losing "in public" and lost my way in regards to the big picture.

Ha thanks mate, so much for a triumphant return. Kings were just woeful in the 2nd half today against Philly. Anyway I've had a great start to the AFL & NRL seasons so pretty fired up to have a big year in those sports. Just at work on the mobile so have to keep it short, however got a play tonight in the NRL.

*Cowboys with the best forward pack in the game and the Knights without Mason will struggle against the dynamic combo of Tamou/Scott. Expect the Cowboys to dominate field position through their forwards and JT's kicking game. Also boys will be up for JT's 200th game. Both sides have X factor players and can see many line breaks and try's in what should be a high scoring game. Knights are a dangerous team but the Cowboys are one of the premiership favorites for a good reason. After last weeks loss to the Storm expect a switched on Cowboys unit and just think they have too many points in them through the likes of Bowen, Tate, Winterstein and co.

**Rarely play ATS & a total in the same NRL game but quietly confident about a high scoring match and the Cowboys coming out on the right side of the scoreline at the end of the match.

Thread got a bit out of control before (my fault as much as anyone's) so gonna keep things simple and focus just on sports, specifically the NBA playoffs (always the best time to make money in the NBA) and the AFL & NRL seasons. Going to give the tennis a rest for now as very poor form through the AO.

Got a play I like tomorrow in the NBA.

Bobcats -3 (-111 Pinnacle) 2.5x

So I haven't had a great read on Charlotte this season, however I quite like this play, mainly because the current available Orlando list is clearly inferior to Charlottes and the Bobcats been playing very solid at home last 4 games, going 3-1 with a destruction of the Celtics, wins over the Wizards and Raptors and a 1 point loss to the Pistons being the only blemish.

The Magic have lost 7 in a row and their last 5 road games/losses have been by an average of 10.8 points (albeit against 5 solid teams). The problem is the magic have a bunch of good players and some Promising young talent (Moe Harkless) however only 1 "name" player will be playing (Nelson) with Davis, Vucevic and Affalo all out injured and with Turkoglu suspended (just finished but unlikely to feature in the games outcome whether he plays or not) and Harrington out of form/favor as well. This team resembles Pretty much what it is - a team loaded with rookies, misfits and D-League borderline players. The Magic have done sprisingly well without Big Baby however the loss of Affalo and particularly Vucevic is just too much.

Henderson has been lighting up teams lately on both ends of the floor and his combination with Walker and also Gordon off the bench should be too much for a magic back court led by the speedy little midget Nelson . Basically Nelson and probably Moe Harkless as well are going to have to huge huge games to take this one.

The Bobcats never under-estimate anyone (for obvious reasons) however they will be both confident and very aware that if they play at a decent level, nothing spectacular just solid ball and they will win this game.

Highlight will no doubt be watching The two talented 19 yr old SF's going head to head in MKG and Harkless

Yes mate I agree 100% their should be no NAB cup "letdown" for the Lions as the NAB cup is meaningless other than a couple of competitive hit out's and some free $$ to kick start the season. The Lions know this and as a talented young hungry team they should offer up far too much for the worst looking team in the league (on paper) and probably on the paddock too (with the obvious exception of GWS & GC). Three goals is rather generous. Might only be round 1 however I have a feeling that you could fade the Bulldogs blindly every single game ATS and come out on top at the end of the season?

Two different bets mate, division futures vs conference futures. With every single book it should be the team that makes the NBA finals that pays out as the team to win their conference (obviously 1 winner from the East and 1 from the West), however the division winners from my experience is usually decided at the end of the regular season as for example you could have a team win their division (in a really weak division) and still miss the playoffs, although with division bets your probably better off ringing your book and double checking to avoid any dissapointment.

It's highly unlikely that 9th placed Philly can catch them with a dozen odd games to go, however what is far more relevant is that the Bucks will be desperate to overtake the free-falling Celtics for 7th and avoid a 1st round showdown with the Heat. Also the Bucks have lost 3 in a row so effort/intensity should not be an issue today. Sanders will play, Dunleavy should play and even M'bah a Moute might make an appearance giving the Bucks a full playing list. Philly's best player Holiday will not have things all his own way against the speedy Jennings.

Marc Gasol surprisingly returns to Griz line-up tonight. I was already contemplating the Griz +1 now I feel compelled to play them at the -1. Knicks coming off a great win playing now the B2B against the Griz, with a severely undersized unit - Carmello @ 4 and K-Mart @ 5. Gasol and Z-Bo to have a party in the paint tonight. Damn living in the daily grind of the NBA as a sportsbettor can be very tough indeed. The Bobcats finally delivered on a big play after my season long obsession with the NBA's "worst" team. After going down 18-36 in the 1st the game played out exactly ow I envisioned with Kemba and Henderson being untouchable. It must be said though that all is not bad at Magic land as if you have a look at the stats over the last week or so of the rookies Quinn and Harris you will see that combined with Harkless the Magic actually have a very nice young talent base to work with as they settle into rebuilding mode...

Considering some of the bizarre games/shorelines going on today won't say that I didn't need my big play to come through.

Most likely going to have a late play on the Nets/Blazers game...

Kings/Warriors
In the Kings/Warriors game it's worth noting that all three games this year have been decided by 4 points or less and the Kings lead 2-1, so will be looking to pick up the Kings in play for +10 or more if the Warriors take an early lead (as I expect they might). Current line is 9.
