    When to "shut down"
So I'm brand new to all of this. Never been a gambler until I read an article on the Spurs/Warriors series and the Spurs odds at that time (+750).

Well, being dumb and not knowing what I was doing, I ended up putting a 15U bet on Spurs winning the series thinking "Hey if they win, great a payout, but I am OK with losing it" and thinking that would be it. That was Friday last week and now fast forward to today and I have signed up to two Sportsbooks and have made a "few" bets

    1. Spurs > Warriors Series - 15U to win 112.5U - RESULT: Pending
    2. Game 1 Under 26pts Leonard - 2.5U to win 2U - RESULT: Push
    3. Warriors Win Series 4-1 - 4.8U to win 7.4U - RESULT: Pending
    4. Warriors Win Series 4-2 - 2.7U to win 10.8U - RESULT: Pending
    5. Wizards Game 7 ML - 1.5U to win 2.7U - RESULT: Loss

After last nights ML loss, I went "all in" on my next bet to try to make up some money

    6. Game 1 Cleveland -3.5 - 4.8U to win 4.3U

So right now, assuming I lose all of my bets, I'm out 28.8U. If I was to have known what I know now, I would have done a way smaller unit bet on the Spurs>Warriors series so I could use that to hedge elsewhere.

With that said, in less than 1 week, I'm in it 28.8U and potentially going to lose it all, so when do you guys "shut down" for a while haha. Also, any feedback on the bets above would be great.

You might've gone a little overboard if you consider each unit $100. I just hope for your sake spurs are able to take one game, looking very unlikely tho. Also, for whatever it's worth, I got celitcs tomorrow. Consider shutting it down until these series are over or until you're able to start back up. Next time don't be so quick to blow it all. Good luck.

Would love to know why you thought laying down 15 units on spurs to beat warriors was a good idea lol

My unit is $10 and laying down 15 units on Spurs to beat the Warriors was just a dumb item. I never have done any sport betting in my life and I read the ESPN article saying Spurs are +900 and huge underdogs and I said, well, why not throw money I'm "OK" with losing on it, for the potential of a big return and yea, that's what I did haha.

Now that I doing this more, I'm starting to learn on items like that, bet way smaller amounts.

I'm about to put 4U on Cavs ML Game 1 and then call it a day. If both my Cavs bets win, I'll put all of that to Cavs series and stop.

I've noticed more sports bet talk on espn than in the past. Everything I hear them throw out those numbers I just think they try and sucker people into betting it, like they got you lol I thought each unit was $100 so that won't hurt as bad. As for the cavs ML, I'd wait to bet live if you think they're going to win. You'll surely get a better number than what is offered now. Good luck once again.
