Every Tout has made it their Play of the...Year/Month/Day/Decade. I'll fade that trend any day. I'm not being a jerk, just when the touts are in a "circle-jerk" something is usually wrong.

Considering the law of avgs. When everyone is on one side of a bet. One of them has to be wrong, which means all of them are wrong.

Same thing happened over the weekend on the ESPN pre-game show when the consensus picked the Nuggets to win game 4.

Forget about the tout, the public is finally unanimous in taking the Lakers moneyline and pointspread for the 1st time. Games 1 to 3 was usually split between the Nuggets and Lakers.

2)I track tout/handicapper plays. I found three plays on the Lakers.

What is the "Public"----seems to be an assumption that they're a group of highly uneducated bettors...partly true but IMHO with the Internet and forum like SBR, etc. I wouldn't read too much into it given how freely information is being exchanged. I have a small amount on the Lakers (because I like betting and it's the playoffs) but I think the spread is razor sharp.

I can't believe most of you are riding the Lakers. When has Denver failed us except game 3. We didn't even expect them to win game 2 against the Lakers, game 4 against New Orleans and Dallas game 3. You have to give more credit to Denver anywho...

This game is has 2 critical factors. Lakers bench, and Melo. If either one has problems then historically the other side is likely to cover the spread. Melo has been great, and LA's bench is way too overated. I think Denver has a real good shot here. Still, my gut tells me LA +5 is the correct play.

The over under has me just as torn. Although thsese teams can blow up for huge scores, when they matchup against one another we tend to get unders. But 208.5 seems like the books have over corrected on this one. Recent trends say under, but gut reaction here is over.
