Is the Magic line a trap?
Hey guys why's the Magic line only at -1.5? Shouldn't this line be considered a trap? It does not make sense because shouldn't the Magic be favored by at least 4 points? In the previous four games play @ Orlando, the Magic were favored by -9.0, -6.5, -5.0, -4.0. Currently 47% of the public is on Cleveland, and the opening line at 2 has dropped to 1.5.

When I saw the lines for the first two games, I never had any doubt that I would be backing Orlando. +9 was WAY too many points to give them and it could very easily have been 2-0 Magic right now if not for the late game Lebron heroics. Those lines were only possible because of the perception that the Cavs were going to roll the Magic in this series.

However, if the situation was reversed from the start and the Magic had been favoured heavily by 9 in those games, I would have made the same argument for the value in the Cavs as the dogs. I feel like the small line is more appropriate for the matchup, now that the public perception is of a much more even series than was originally projected. So I wouldn't say it's a trap, but from the books' perspective it's where the line needs to be to balance the betting.

The first two games came down to the wire.

I suppose you could argue that since it is in Orlando now, the tides may turn drastically in the Magic's favor. But its hard to believe Cleveland will just roll over and die. It looks like this will be a series of close finishes, so I don't really think the line is a trap line.

Your wrong about the Magic being favored. Home favorites of 9 pts in a playoff series are usaully 3 to 4 point favorites when they play the same team on the road. Cleveland is the trap here, they should be favorites in this game not dogs.

I hope that's the case bro, because I'm thinking about going with Orlando -1.5.
