Nuggets Moneyline or Lakers -5.5 in Game 2
Game 2 is either going to be a double digit win for the Lakers or a straight up win for Denver. Denver lost both to New Orleans and Dallas twice in the waning minutes after outplaying their opponent most of the game. Both were crushing lost, but they responded with a double digit win twice. Looking at both Kenyon and Billups in a post game interview today, this is an unphased bunch. They will bring the same game intensity into this one.

I don't expect Melo to suddenly go cold in the playoffs now and will continue contribute in scoring, the Big in Nene, Martin, Birdman will still be physical against the weiry Gasoft and Bynum who's still recovering from their 7 games series with Houston. If Billups and JR Smith has a better game in this one, I see no reason why Denver can't take this one. For those that said the Lakers had an off game, they didn't. Kobe was Kobe by getting 40 point, and the LA bench outscored Denver's 27-16.

I think the Lakers win by double digits in this one, and the public being 55% on the Nuggets helps settle my ease with that feeling. The playoffs have more bets placed than any time of the year the general rule is when you go against the public especially in playoffs you end up ahead.

      Lakers -5.5

The Lakers had only a day in between the Houston series and Game 1 to practice and study for strategies to counter the Denver Nuggets. Now that they've seen how the Nuggets will play against them, you can count a easier win. If you watched the game on ESPN when they showed the "wired" segments of Phil Jackson, it was obvious that he was also first noticing the Nuggets' tendencies (ie. he told his players the Nuggets overplay the passing lanes).

I expect the public to move heavily toward the Lakers way once game time starts, like game 1. Either way, I don't see the Nuggets covering a 5.5 or 6 unless you believe they can win the game. In that case the moneyline would be the better value for me.

Yea in a close game Billups is the only guy I trust on that team to get the job done. He is the only one that has been in close games deep in the playoffs. You are correct I believe if you think the Nuggets will win I personally do not think they get a win on the road now unless it is in Game 5. They need to get some confidence going at home with two in a row to have a shot at winning a game outright in LA and that would be in a Game 5 scenario I believe.

denver for the win ml...why not .....they had good control of that game but did not take advantage in crucial spots.
And they had a long lay off which contributed to that.
They are warmed up and ready to go

The trends I gave for the Houston/Lakers series hit 100%. Those trends were when Lakers suffer a SU loss to Houston, the following game they come back and score an average of +19 points per game, score 111 points per game, and outscored Houston by an average of 21 points. I believe the same will happen in the Denver/Lakers series. Lakers definately know how to react from a loss. Now although Game 1 wasnt a loss for the Lakers, it sure as hell was close and in all honestly they all probably thought they were going to lose that game after the 1st qtr. They will be more prepared for game 2. Take these trend as you will...
When Lakers suffer from a SU/ATS loss from Denver, the following game they outscored them by an average of 14 points. In Game 1 Denver shot particularly well going 48.6% from the field shooting 36-74. Lakers on the other hand shot 41.1% from the field attempting 16 more shots then Denver shooting 37-90. I expect more of these shots to fall for the Lakers tonight. I think Lakers will capitalize throughout this whole game, 1Q, 1H, full game. In their last 10 meetings (excluding game 1) lakers have won the 1Q by an average of 6.1 points. If you include Game 1 it would decrease to an average of 4.8.
              Plays:
              1Q LAL -1.5 (-115)
              1H LAL -3
              LAL -3.5 (2 point buy)

Will anyone besides Melo and Billups play well for the Nuggets in game 2? I doubt it, they're at the Staples Center....stay away from the ML

Denver ML will cash easily tonight. If the refs bail out the Lakers again all hell breaks lose and a mayhem erupts on the floor. I expect Nuggets to attack the boards with ferocious tenacity and send Lakers back to obscurity.

I think you need to rethink this. You truly do hate the Lakers and Kobe Bryant as all your post can show. Make sure you are not just making this play based off of that. I think the Lakers dominate teh game tonight and win by double digits after they barely won Game One. Their record against Denver in the post season is to sick to ignore here.

Denver ML (small), Denver +6 (big) as long as denver can stay out of foul trouble they can pull it off. Billups wad only something like 1-3 from distance and i dont see that hsppening again

                              lakers for sure

lakers will win by double digit lead... the only loss of lakers at home is the upset of houston rockets. den cant beat lak at home.. phil jacksons mind set will dictate this game 2 outcome. den will win a game or two but not in game 2. definitely a sure bet here is lakers. sorry guys kobe will score 25 to 35max and gasol will really dominate the paint plus i feel like bynum will step up in game 2. home court wins today. its already 3 consecutive road wins ats. no way it gonna be 4. got my point guys? laker will make a statement!

denver wont miss 12 free throws again and thats just fact along with billups missing 3 who a 96% ft shooter. Everyone is saying the nuggets will quit like in years past, but this isnt the old nuggets, nothing about this team resembles the teams of the past. Im going to think it through and wait because the line will probably be at 6.5 or 7 and i might throw it on the moneyline instead. Denver should be the pick today

Make sure you are not just making this play based off of that. I think the Lakers dominate teh game tonight and win by double digits after they barely won Game One. Their record against Denver in the post season is to sick to ignore here.
Those Nugget teams never got out of the first round either and the Celtics where undefeated at home in game 7s. What has that got to with this team? Absolutley nothing.

Because Carmelo Anthony was the only Nugget to show up Tues. Even if he gets a little help tonight it should be an easy win for Denver.

Lakers got so many calls last game, you can see George Karl wanting to burst on the sidelines and at the post game press conference. LOL. You can see his ulcers seeping through and his veins popping out of his forehead.

I think the game stays close again....and a Lakers win again
