Mafia Leans for Sunday April 25th
Give me a chance on this one. This is my first post so I want it to count! I am a long time follower and had to join the action. It looks like the challenge has fallen apart so let's get back to the basics. Open thread and let's get some solid picks for Sunday going. I hope to get replies from all of the regulars including the cocknockersox , I love the Pho3nix input, DEX , and the rest of the crew.

    My first official pick is....

Chicago (minus, I don't care) BIG

The way Chicago played last game I don't know. If anything I would play on Boston. I'm not too condifent in chicago at all. I would stay away from this one. I think Houston or the Cavs is the pick of the day.

I like Boston ML. Young Chicago team will play better tomorrow, but it wont be enough.

Give me the ML and BOSTON. Chicago may come out fast, but I expect the experience of the C's to be too much.

I'm thinking Chicago is the better team, and Boston played over their heads last game. Also this is their second game at home and they won't lose them both, especially after that but whooping. Books are banking on the Boston Faithful which is why the line will be just small enough for the bulls to cover.

Chicago got their game, luckily. If Pierce makes the free throw in Game 1 it's 3-0. Gordon and Rose played like the second coming of Jordan, but it was an aberration.

The team is too young and will drop two straight at home. The Chicago team you saw in the first two games was a fluke.

Chicago is the better team? Dude, no offense but you need to stick around and learn some more before you start posting Mafia threads.

Give me Bos. Coach Vinnie? The teams young and good but thats it. Rondo gonna come out after that ''injury'' for a second game jus like Pierce did last year. Another triple double!

This is exactly what I am talking about, all of you that want to ride on Boston in this game can blow what ever you want, BUT it should be very clear that with Gar out and Pierce already having his great game, while Derek Rose and the rest of the proud and soon to be STUDS battle in real life on the court tomorrow that this will be the Bulls' game. No cheap shots need to be involved , I know I haven't proven myself here, but I take this $hit seriously and want to win.

Chicago is not the better team. They're .500 for a reason. Boston will take care of business and then close it out on their home floor so they can rest for the next one. They did not play over their heads. Great teams play how they're supposed to when people start doubting them. The Celtics rose to the occasion and squashed any hopes the young Bulls had of beating them in this series. Anyway, good luck to you in whatever you decide to do. For me, it's Celtics + the points and a little on the ML or nothing. As young as the Bulls are, I don't know how they'll respond in this next game after getting thoroughly whipped at home.

dakid, your argument is not supported by the facts. If you want to argue that Chicago has a chance to win tomorrow because they're playing at home and maybe the C's will have an off game like Game 1 and maybe Rose and Gordon will play lights out again, go ahead. But don't say they're the better team, that's just ridiculous.

Roag, What are facts? Was it a sure fact that all these games were under, these series go back and forth and I think it is definitely Chicago's turn. I say they will be the better team in game $ with the good young player at home, and Boston banged up, and maybe satisfied with winning back home court.

I didn't think I would get this much resistance, but sometimes that turns out to be a good thing.

Are you on crack? The Celtics are the much better and experienced team!! They have the best shooter on the floor in ray Allen who is also best free throw shooter. They have the best player on the floor in Paul Pearce who can play with and defend anybody. This is not even close and would be a joke by now if Garnett was playing. Boston wins series 4-1.

In Game 1, the Bulls stunned everybody and even themselves by winning over the Celtics. In Game 2, they had their hearts broken by a Ray Allen dagger. In Game 3, rout by Boston in their home floor. After the events that happened, the Bulls state of mind right now is: "Can we really beat this team? Was Game 1 a fluke?" This is where the championship experience and mental toughness of the Celtics come in. The Bulls have a rookie coach and rely on a rookie floor general to navigate their offense. The Celtics know the importance of this game. They can go back home with a commanding 3-1 lead. The Bulls are the "false favorites" (quoting CK's jargon) in this game. Celtics should win SU tomorrow and break the spirit of the Baby Bulls further.

Also this is their second game at home and they won't lose them both, especially after that but whooping. Books are banking on the Boston Faithful which is why the line will be just small enough for the bulls to cover.
hey i havent been here that long but bro you are nuts by making this post you are hoping the bulls can make you look good. this series should be 3-0. the bulls will start on fire and then the celtics will make a huge comeback(game 4 last years finals) and put the baby bulls out of their misery. next time you make a post use your brains you clown

Chicago is NOT the better team. Even with Garnett and Powe out they are far from it. Boston has a winning philosophy. They know how to win, they know how to play defense, they know how to take care of the little things like defending pick and roll, taking care of the ball. Chicago is athletic yes, but they are missing the little things. Plus Boston has 2 superstars in Pierce and Allen.
