CK, what makes you think the Heat stand a chance tonight? The celtics last year could not even win a game in Atlanta. The heat have already lost this year even when Wade scores 50+. I don't understanding laying big money hoping guys like O'neal (plays horrible vs good comp), Chalmers(rookie), beasley (rookie), Cook (rookie) and Haslem (hurt) to come through against a more talented, great home team.

Man, do I hate this. I'm going to go against CK's fvcking PC play and roll with the Hawks. They've shown they can limit Wade to around 22 points a game, and that means he's gonna need a hell of a lot from his teammates who in game one shot with the kind of accuracy a drunk shows a urinal. I don't think things change so much in game two that they cover. Just thought I would mention in case anyone else felt the same way -- you're not alone.

yeah, the hawks are definitely the better TEAM and the whole team has playoff experience. I think they will win this series still, problem is, D-Wade cannot always be capped and teams (especially teams driven by a kobe, lebron, or a wade) generally show up in the game right after getting blown the f*** out, which they were in game one. I have this game going down like the last matchup these two teams played, when the hawks were big favs, but only won by a bucket. This game hurts me too though because i hate it when i'm not in love with a PC play, it makes it hard to feel good about it going into the game. I definitely see some of the angles that are pushing this play though, as most series have some sort of dichotomy to them, even the HOU/POR series and the BOS/CHI series had each team splitting wins, despite both games being covered by the road team. The dichotomy in a series like the hawks heat would be opposing covers even if one team won both games, which may or may not happen. All i know is that the hawks have the length and athleticism to frusterate a team like the heat that is smaller and entirely dependant on the play of one guy. Too much youth on the heat.

Any way you spin it though, i'll buy into the hook available on my book and rock the heat +6.5 because matchup analysis and ATL's home court aside, everything else points to the heat.

Right now 55% betters are on Orlando. I'm going to go with 76ers +10.5. This 2nd game reminds me of the Bull/Celtics game 2. After beating the Celtics in game 1 the Bulls became so confident in game 2 that Celtics did not cover. This would probably go the same with the Sixers/Celtics game. There is something the Sixers learned from game one, and that is not to get blown the f*** out again. So with the confidence, they'll play a tough game this these Magics.

What do you mean when you say "everything else points to the Heat"? Are you referring to the fact that the public is pounding Atlanta and the line is standing firm?

Because I personally just can't bring myself to buy into that being a major factor. During the regular season, definitely. But not now. Not in the playoffs. I had the Bulls in game 2 and all of the line movement pointed to it being the wrong call and in the end they easily covered. I think that young teams are just too difficult to cap when put under playoff pressure.

The Trailblazers could have done ANYTHING yesterday and it wouldn't have surprised me. They could literally have been blown out or blown out the Rockets and I would have just accepted it. I just don't think Vegas can predict young guys like the Heat in a playoff situation.

And I think that the Hawks can handle Dwyane Wade, which to me, is everything in this game.

Dwyane wade will score under 30 pts, because he gets double or triple teamed permanently. And he gets no help so they wont score. Double team will come from someone who is guarding someone cant make shots, like haslem or moon, or even cook he shoots very poorly. And he cant get to the foul line. Big play atlanta
