Im looking at nba finals futures

    Miami vs spurs -134

    Miami vs thunder +176

    Thats a difference of .40

Put 1340 on mia vs sa to win 1000
    And
Put 1000 on mia vs okc to win 1760

Difference $420 profit and you hedge your bet so you cant lose money. Only way you lose money is if pacers make the finals. In that case if miami loses game 6, just place a bet on pacers game 7 as they would be +340 dog.

    Thoughts?

Game seven would be played in Indiana, there is no way the Pacers would be +340 on the moneyline in a game seven at home.

A much better bet would be to take those two futures and then put a bet on Pacers ML for $420 in game 6. You're basically getting a free $400 bet that pays 2.5 to 1 if it hits. Pacers lose, you push. That might be worth looking into. Where are you getting those lines, just out of curiosity? Edit: Of course, if you hit that $420 and you now have $1400+, then you'd have to hedge game 7 anyway.... Edit2: Also, if San Antonio makes it and Pacers win game 6 you are sweating big $$. Well damn nevermind thought you were onto something.

Only way this goes red is if miami doesnt make finals.

Spurs can make finals and I can still be profitable. Just have to hedge on spurs bet if it goes to game 7.

Pacers would be a small dog (think +120) if they can somehow force a game 7 at home. I don't anticipate that happening but in the case that it did you wouldn't even sniff +200 let alone 300+

so im reading this right at your book OKC is a 2-1 favorite over the heat if they play in the finals and miami is a small favorite over the spurs?

I think your misunderstanding. This is the nba matchups future. In order to win the bet both Miami and thunder would have to make it to the finals. Its not miami vs thunder its just them getting there.

Why not just take miami vs okc to win 420? Why bother placing both bets? If mia vs spurs is what hits u break even
