Leans for Wednesday 3/11/09 The Loss of non
Well a terrible evening with an 0-fer 7 or somethin' night for me was made worse by the loss of non on our everyday thread. It seems that a lot of the rabble rousers made him not feel like posting again. I have always known that we can have a clean thread, and try to do what we came here to do. Help each other. So non is gone now and is going it solo. Take care, non!

    As for me:

    JM(A) +3 Straight (Heavy) W
    JM(B) +3 Straight (Heavy) W
    Denver-10 Buying 3 W
    Dallas+9 W

Also teasing all four together W

    Denver-7.5 1st half W
    New Orleans-6 2nd half W
    Memphis-2 3rd quarter L
    Denver-5 2nd half L
    Portland-4 4th quarter L

    CBB

    Marquette-4 1st half W
    Marquette/St. John's under 65 W
    St. John's -2 2nd half L
    St. John's/Marquette over 70.5 2nd half W

the thunder will be up against it on wed having to face the nuggets on a btb in the high altitude. denver needs this game badly off of 3 straight losses. last year they dropped 168 pts at home on the thunder and are 3-1 su/ats the last 4 home games vs OKC winning 3 of those games by 28ppg.

What else looks good for tomorrow? I'm thinking of Atlanta being -1 or -2 vs Utah. I think Utah's streak ends tomorrow, but then again I thought it would end today!

Toronto wants to run more with Marion and Philly already plays at a pretty fast pace. The OVER is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings and 6-1 in the last 7 meetings. Average totals have been set at 188 but average scores have totaled have averaged about 198 points. The total is set at 202.5 tomorrow so the lines makers obviously know that these teams will put up points. Give me the OVER 202.5.

I have to respectfully disagree with you on this one Kid. The under for the Sixers at home is 18-10. They either suck on offense or play better defense at home. The playoff spots in the east is up for grabs. Even the Raptors still have a shot at the magic 8. I anticipate both teams to play hard and play defense in this game. I find this line a bit low. As CK always says, there is no free money in the NBA...

There is not much explaining to do here. The Celtics will be without Rondo tomorrow. Rondo is the catalyst to their running game. Instead they will be playing Marbury who just came in and still adjusting to their offense. Head to head trends reflect that the under is 6-1 in the last 3 years and 3-1 during games played in Miami the last 3 years.

Hey, no problem at all. I respect you and your plays and it's okay if we have differing views. We might have different opinions on this one total but as long as we come out ahead of the day, I'm all for it. I'll be playing more than just that one so we'll see what happens. BOL, pho3nix.

one play for me tomorrow and that will again be over suns. the cavs come rolling in, and lebron, moe etc should have 30 point qtrs with regularity vs that defense. hopefully it cashes, and i will just continue to ride these overs during a favorable stretch of games for the 7 second offense.

Remember a couple weeks back we talked about "pistons week" after they beat the Celts? Well, this could be shaping up to be "Nuggets week". They have looked horrible of late (all the better for line value) but they just went through a brutal stretch at this time of year- just played 5gms in 7 days and within that 4gms in 5 days. The Nuggets remaining schedule has them playing 11 of their final 17 vs. losing teams. One thing the Nuggs do is beat the losing teams (exeption being SAC the other day) Check out their upcoming schedule:
Home: OKC, Clippers, Nets.. then on the road at Memphis...back home vs. Wizards.
The Nuggets have lost 3 in a row two other times this year but have won the fourth game each time. My only concern would be tonight against OKC and hoping the beat the spread. I"m on em though and looking for a run!

                                                            Nebraska +1

Nebraska is going to throw a slow pace at Baylor today and it is one that can frustrate the efforts of a squad like the Bears. It did in their only meeting this year with the Cornhuskers winning a 4 pt game @ Baylor.
The Bears have simply fallen apart toward the end of this season, winning just twice in their last 12 games, and both of those in at home. They are currently on a 3-14 ATS run,.
The betting number scares me a bit....so this will be a smaller bet

This game will be played at high altitude and Denver is coming off of 3 straight losses. Blowout Alert! This is the kind of game you take your girlfriend to to propose. No offense joanapoker, but I just have to carjack your pick. You were ridin' too clean through the hood. Leave the keys in the ignition and get out of the car with your hands up and and give me that over!
