Mar 5 NBA. Over-Under is 16-10 for games on ESPN primetime Wednesdays & Fridays.
NBA PRIMETIME GAMES ON ESPN, WEDNESDAYS AND FRIDAYS (since beginning of January 2014)https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ai8y0VjQSNzcdHVQYU5Fc09FMElvNER 2NVNnVE56akE&usp=drive_web#gid=0

    Since January:

    Underdogs are 14-13 ATS.
11 of the 16 underdogs have won straight-up!

Out of the 27 games played after New Years, 16 have gone over the total, one push.

These ESPN (TNT Thursdays included) primetime games usually feature high-scoring, top-tiered teams; thus its not a surprising trend for the totals.

The Thunder were underdogs twice and won straight-up both times.

11 out of 16 underdogs have won straight-up so its usually a good idea to take a shot at the moneyline.

For about 90% of these primetime games, the spread rarely come into play. The result is either a favorite blow-out or underdog straight-up.

How does this information help bettors?

Here is how you should go about betting these primetime games:

    1) Never take an underdog unless you think that team can win staight-up. Look at my spreadsheet and review. There are underdogs that never stood a chance.

    2) Bet the favorite with confidence. Again, refer to the spreadsheet and you'll see past results where most favorites win by a comfortable margin.

Usually, when you pick a right side, you'll cruise to victory. There are rarely numerous lead changes. One team just dominate.

If you happen to picked the wrong side, you'll be sulking for a majority of the game.

    Tonight's ESPN Wednesday double-header:

    Dallas -4.5, 218 @ Denver
    Atlanta +8, 217 @ Portland

Portland have really bad mojo right now and for the next few games. They lost straight-up to the Lakers and will have trouble on their Texas trip and may lose to the Grizzlies as well. They may have trouble against an ailing Atlanta squad tonight.

Atlanta's mojo is on the rise so they are due for a good game and have a good chance to cover against Portland. Especially with Millsap hurt, Atlanta's inside game is all but gone. But if they shoot like the Lakers have been shooting these past two game, they stand a chance to pull another rare upset.

Atlanta is trending heavily towards the Over. I like the Under only because Portland is coming off a disappointing loss. They will reflect and focus on defense for the next few games.

Pepsi Center is no longer the hex it used to be for a traveling team. The Nuggets had no leadership while Lawson was injured. The Nuggets' scoring and assists leader is healthy again and looked good against Minnesota. Much like Minnesota, Dallas have problems closing out games -- soft defense. I like the Over more than any side of this matchup.

Rockets. When you have optimal mojo you can beat the best of the best. Houston held LeBron to 22 points and controlled much of last night's game. The Rockets still have optimal mojo tonight (all green and blue ratings); they should crush Orlando tonight, yes? Maybe so. But the question at hand is the Rockets' motivation after a grueling battle against Miami and Indiana on deck. Sandwich.

          Blowout or underdog straight-up.

I think we're watching the same games.
