a first and a second plus the knicks get a bad contract, a player who doesn't defend or rebound and is often injured. He was also going to be amnestied in a week. Masai is a great GM, he just totally robbed NY.

You do bring up a good point. Knicks definitely need a stretch 4. One thing I've noticed about the NBA now is that you can't have a PF/C combo that are both paint scorers. Like DeAndre Jordan/Blake Griffin combo will never be a success. Both are great players, but they don't work together. At least one of them has to be capable of hitting the mid range/outside jumper. Bargs would be a nice fit on offense, but he plays absolutely no defense, is constantly injured, and has a huge contract.

Honestly, if the Knicks want to make improvements, they need to get rid of Amare. How long do they have have to test this Melo/Amare thing for? The stats speak for themselves. Only problem is I doubt anyone wants to take on Amare's contract.

If Stoudemire isn't the real Stoudemire (the all 1st team nba player, the mvp candidates he was just 2 years ago before Mello came to the team), the Knicks aren't winning shit.

Stoudemire was the best PF in the NBA for a 3 year stretch. He brought that over to NY too his first year as he was dominating. His injury puts a big ? on this team. You are not gonna win a championship without a healthy stoudemire. or a dominant paint presence. Barnagni is a jump shooter. He is no where near the player stoudemire is.

Masai did in 3 months what Colangelo could not do in 5 years...unload a worthless player with a dead end soul sucking contract....The Knicks have no idea what they are in for with this fella...Has not played defense a day in his life and is made of glass....Never thought we could find a GM dumb enough to take this guy off our hands...but low and behold, good ol Glen Grunwald managed to take the bait....ex GM of the raptors....
