I live in Toronto, I know my team. They got no defense or discipline to hold down a solid team. Memphis is as solid of a team as there is.

This whole hype around Rudy Gay and the RAptors being good at home is overrated. The better team is an underdog here, make the right play boys and girls.

I think you are over estimating Memphis and under estimating Toronto. Since their trades, Memphis is 6-4 last 10 games, however when you look at wins and losses came against NO and Phoenix at home and that's straight up not ATS against 2 worst teams in the west and being at home, and their 6 wins is nothing to brag about, because besides 6 pt win at home over GS other 5 wins were against cellar teams that are all below .500
and even though toronto is below .500 too they seem to be turning the corner after the trade.
Toront has same record last 10 at 6-4 however all of their losses came against above .500 teams and 4 wins against teams with about .500 records including one of the hardest places to win on the road in all of nba in Indiana, not to mention at Knicks. I think toronto has been much more impressive lately and Bargnani adds additional firepower of the bench that stretches the D (I do agree he isn't as valuable as a starter)

Great analysis. From what I read, you've concluded that this game should be very even in terms of the teams form and standings. I agree with you on this. However I think Toronto, from the point of view of Americans, seems like a solid team at home. I think they've been overrated in the last couple of weeks, there is no doubt they've been playing great, but they've been very lucky to get away with their loose play.

A team like Memphis can come in and put on a clinic, I think this line should be in favour of Memphis or at least at PK, favouring Raptors is a sign that the books want everyone to take them IMHO.

I think he meant that most of the Americans don't care about the raptors.

I'm from Toronto and i think you're wrong. The Raps will be up for this game, they're trying to grab the 8th seed and Lowry, Derozan, Gay are playing very well with help off the bench from Barganni, Anderson, Ross and Lucas. The Raps could lose but no pick is a solid one IMO.

love ya riff, but have to say...dr. james naismith was a canadian. yes, he first introduced the game in massachusetts. but all of his ideas for the game came from his childhood and high-school games he played in the middle of bumfuk nowhere in ontario. he had already been at work at developing the game but first had it played by his students at the ymca.
