    Is Denver a Pinny Lean???
Lunchbawks posted a "Pinny Lean" last night on the Hornets, in which they went wire to wire dominating the Sixers.

Im not too keen on the whole "Pinny Lean", but Im seeing them offering Denver +8.5 (-113) while many others offering +8.5 (-110). Am I understanding this right, Denver would be a play following Pinny Leans?

i dont read too much into lines but I think you would look for more than just a 3 cent difference... if pinny moved to 8 (-105) while other books hung 8.5 (-110) than I think that would be more useful

Every month or so, I see a thread in the forums about playing the "Pinnacle Lean" - where we offer a line on a game that is slightly off market price. For example on Tuesday we had New England favored by 9.5 points over Buffalo while the market was offering the Patriots at -8.5 and -9. Does this mean that we have an opinion on the game and are trying to lure Buffalo money? Not really. At Pinnacle Sports we rarely take positions on games. Instead these off-market prices are the result of sharps placing large wagers with us. In the New England game, we had unopposed sharp money on New England at -8.5 and -9. On the NFL - although our minimum stake amount is just $1 - we normally accept bets of up to $30,000 per wager online with -104 pricing that offers up to 60% better value on NFL sides than other sports books.

Like the above poster said, dont put too much into it. Pinny leans will hit then go ice cold. Just use it as 1 of many factors.

Pinny lean: an imaginary lean of Pinnacle siding with a particular ATS/ML/Total that SBR degenerates come up with to confuse themselves even further into the abyss of loserville............

A Pinny lean is when they lay a number out for a LONG time as it gets hit and juiced massively, usually overnight. For example, this season the Colts were +9 -145 or something huge when they went to visit the Texans, and the line didn't move till +10 later into the week. Pinny sucks up the juice on the -9 they lay out and Texans win by 12.

If my example is wrong or I'm not understanding it, then someone please correct me.

Yep that's pretty much it. It is usually when Pinny offers a better line but with higher juice. For example, pretty much all other books had Phili -3.5 yesterday, but Pinny was offering Phili -3 with high juice. If I remember right, they never moved off the -3.
