If someone is starting with a goal like this to turn $100 (or even $20) to $1000 or whatever someone can handle as a starting amount, do you really think it's wise to go all in at times? I mean I know you must feel strongly about making a bet like that, but should you be risking your whole bankroll on any bet? If you win it's more than great I know.Comment -

by setting a goal where im trying to turn 100 to 1,000... 10x the original wager, it is necessary to go all in on bets you may be confident on. for example, today during cavs @ kings, they put up massive 1H scoring numbers yet neither teams were not even shooting % that well, therefore i decided to pretty much go all in on the over for the 2H line, which was 103.5, a number they covered easily.
trying to 10x your original wager in a week is a bit difficult, so i expect to lose on my all-ins once in a while, the goal is to be profitable in the long-run, which we currently are for the moment.Comment -

I was trying to say that with a goal of turning your bankroll 10X in a week (which is a great thing if you can do it) your main goal obviously is the 10X and if it takes 2 weeks and not 1 then still it would be great. What if your all ins were like half ins just to keep you "alive" in case the world turned over and the bet lost?
I'm not trying to tell you what to do of course. It's your thread and experiment. Just making a comment. And of course I hope you do it again!Comment -

No, she is not confident at all with this pick. That is why she is BETTING every dollar she has on one game. But again no Jordan Hill, their best man off the bench lately (which again doesn't mean much for a team who's bench sucks).
Dwight may be back. Yeah, they beat Cleveland by 20pts at home, but Milwaukee beat Toronto by 11 at TOR, who is a little better than Cleveland but not awesome.
Milwaukee is a better all-around team, and they also haven't given up for most of the last 2weeks. Jamison is the Lakers ONLY PF and that crappy dude Sacre (from Gonzaga) is their only backup center now. Also, Cleveland knew they had to play the next day vs. Sacramento (loss by 6) so they probably weren't playing at 100% the entire 2nd half. Why tire out your players for the 2nd half of a game you are already down by 15+ when you have another game (a winnable one) in less than 24hrs?
I think this is a good pick actually with a -6 for the Lakers. Lakers are 5-6 ATS in their last 11 games in which they are favored, and 13-12 which isn't actually that bad for how bad they have been playing. Also, 7-11 ATS when they are favored by 6 or more.
MILW on the other hand is 6-5 when the underdogs to beat the spread since December 1st.Only 9 games they have been underdogs by 5pts or more (going 5-4 in those games), and of those 9, only Brooklyn and Chicago (Boston as well but that was the first game of the year) are the two in which aren't the top 5 teams in the NBA and they ended up winning by 8 or more in all THREE of those games.
