    Golden State Warriors
I've been waiting to start this thread all season and I now feel comfortable posting my plays. I felt really good about the Warriors season after they signed Carl Landry and Jarret Jack. Getting Monta Ellis out of Golden State was the best move they've made in recent memory, even if Andrew Bogut never suits up for another game and they end up getting nothing in return for him, simply because moving Ellis out opened the door for Curry to run the team (as he should), and allowed Klay Thompson to move into the starting shooting guard position and help him grow as a player into a potential superstar. I loved the Warriors draft class and thought they had the single best draft in the NBA. Now after watching every game this season I am fully convinced that it is true. Festus Ezeli is virtually unknown by the average NBA fan, but let me tell you now that he is a BEAST. He reminds me of a young Serge Ibaka except he his bigger and stronger. He has filled in as the starting center for Andrew Bogut and is a force on the defensive end and is only getting better. Draymond Green and Harrison Barnes have also been impressive this year. Mark Jackson has this team completely under control and everyone has bought into his system. David Lee has been Superb on both ends of the floor and Jack and Landry have been the keys off the bench. Without a doubt the biggest key to the teams success has been Steph Currys return after several ankle injuries. I've been half expecting him to get hurt all season long, but I am now a believer that he is indeed back to 100% judging by the way he moves on the floor and the cuts he makes. THIS TEAM IS THE REAL DEAL! Although I do not consider them a serious title contender, I do believe they will finish the season in a playoff spot, settling somewhere between the 6th and 4th seed. I also believe there is some money to be made backing them and knowing when to fade them.

Currently I am 11-4-2 on the season with my plays on Warriors games. I will be starting fresh at 0-0 since none of my plays have been posted on here. First play will likely come this week.

This is a tough game to take a side on. I expect the Warriors to get a lot of open looks from the perimeter and expect big nights from Klay Thompson and Steph Curry, as well as Jack. The Jazz have the size advantage in the paint and I expect them to give David Lee trouble both offensive and defensively. I expect a close, hard fought game in the first half and the game to be won by which ever team can go on a big 2nd half run. The Warriors are definitely the better of the two teams but the key to the game is the home court advantage of the Jazz. With their loud and intense fans combined with the high altitude its very possible they cover the current spread of 4-4.5 points. I currently am staying off this game but am leaning towards Golden State. If I can get +5.5 I will take it but for now I would rather pass and find a better spot.

With the win tonight at home against the Sixers, the Warriors have moved to 12-2 against the Eastern Conference on the year. They are 6-1 both on the road and at home in those 14 games.
Golden State will be playing tomorrow night at home against the Celtics and I will be backing them again. Yes the Warriors will be on a back to back, but playing a b2b is not nearly as significant to them as it is a lot of other teams. They are a young team, very hungry to compete every night, and they also have a deep bench that contributes a solid chunk of minutes every game.
This Warrior team is simply too young, shooting the ball too well, and most surprisingly of all playing too good of defense and rebounding for this years much older Boston Celtics team.

          Early pick for tomorrow:

          Warriors -3.5

why the raptors under? Orlando gave up a ton of points to Washington last night and must be tired, have a bunch of players out.

Both teams are playing a back to back and are playing their 3rd game in 4 nights. Toronto had to travel from New Orleans and Orlando had to travel from Washington. This is a nice recipe for tired legs and a sluggish, sloppy game. Both teams shoot a lot of jump shots and I expect a low shooting % night from both teams. Good luck

Good luck with your pick today the line has moved the over way so if you fancy GSW you can get it at -3. It's going to be a tight game but I hope GS pull through they have been an enjoyable team to watch this year.

Hoping for a close game between the Clippers and Nuggets tonight and lots of minutes for the Clippers starters.
I will be betting the Warriors tomorrow @ home against the Clippers.

I think The Warriors too will win, this is a great matchup + GoldenState is really to hard beat at home, + a B2B game for the clippers after a lost at Denvers.

GS hasn't played since the 29th, and the Clippers had to travel last night, should be easy money here.

Nothings ever too easy but I really do like this matchup. The Warrior defense has vastly improved, especially in the post. I expect Griffin and Jordan to struggle scoring inside in a half court set. The key for the Warriors is to keep the Clippers number of fast break pts reasonable, and to play up tempo themselves and push the floor creating lay ups and open kick out/pull up 3's. If they can do both those things it will be a long night for the Clips considering how well Golden State shoots the ball from the perimeter.

The Warriors have had some time to rest while the Clippers will be playing their 3rd game in 4 nights, plus tonight is a b2b for them, plus they have to travel.

Also, another thing people probably dont know is that tonight is a promotional night at Oracle Arena which means it will be sold out and a sold out Warrior crowd is arguably the loudest in the NBA

They don't have a defensive stopper to guard a superstar calliber SG/SF. That's a lot of what the playoffs come down to. A 7 game series is a different animal.

I don't know how many games you've seen this year but I've seen every single one and there is only one team they have no chance of beating in a 7 game series in the West and thats OKC. Yes, that means I think that if OKC loses to someone else, the Golden State Warriors could be Western Conference champions. I can't believe I'm saying it either. They have a slim chance of beating the Spurs or Memphis imo, but if they shoot lights out and rebound like they have been, anything can happen. They would also have a tough time with the Lakers. But to say they cant beat anyone is ABSURD. They are better than the Clippers, Jazz, Mavs, Blazers, Rockets...all the teams who will finish between 5-8 seeds. The best series' would be GSW vs either the Nuggets or T-Wolves. Both those would go at least 6 games and probably a 7th.

Have you seen Draymond Green play defense? He isn't at an elite level yet playing overall defense, but he will get there. He's the best on-ball rookie defender I've seen and I have no doubt he will be an all league defender. At the rate he's improving, he will be ready to slow down any SG/SF in the playoffs other than Kobe or Durant, but who can guard Durant? With his size and quickness he can guard the Rudy Gay, O.J. Mayo, Ginobli's etc. of the league. Charles Jenkins is a supurb defender at the PG position and Festus Ezeli is a total beast clogging up the middle. Ezeli reminds me of a rookie Serge Ibaka with a higher ceiling. His only huge drawback is that he has bad hands and has trouble with receiving entry passes, but on defense he is impressive. The key to the Warriors success recently has been their overall team defense which has improved light years from previous years, entirely due to Mark Jackson preaching nothing but defense and the front office drafting defensive minded players. They defend the perimeter and the paint and they gang rebound. The most impressive detail of their defense is the number if different lineups they can send at teams. Literally everyone on this team plays above average defense other than Klay Thompson imo. Your're hearing it from me now, this team is not a mirage by any means. They are really really good.
