Kurt Busch has been suspended from this weekend's activities at Pocono Raceway by NASCAR as a result of his actions following the Nationwide Series event at Dover International Speedway this past Saturday.
Busch was already on probation because of a run-in with Ryan Newman's crew following the May 12 Sprint Cup event at Darlington Raceway. Following his fourth-place finish in Saturday's Nationwide race, Busch was asked about racing while on probation, and proceeded to verbally berate reporter Bob Pockrass of The Sporting News, who posed the question.
"It refrains me from not beating the s--- out of you right now because you ask me stupid questions," Busch said in a video posted by Speed Channel. "But since I'm on probation, I suppose that's improper to say as well."
truth is he's been a non-factor this season anyway. He can save himself another embarrassing finish now.

Finch to Meet with Busch on Future

Finch told SIRIUS/XM NASCAR Radio’s “The Morning Drive” he plans to sit down with the suspended driver next Tuesday and hammer out whether the two can continue working together.
“We've got to get Kurt in the right frame of mind,” Finch said. “He needs to either get his mind right or he's going to be working somewhere else. If we stay together, it will be on a race-by-race basis."
Busch was suspended for his actions against The Sporting News reporter Bob Pockrass last Saturday at Dover International Speedway following the Nationwide Series race. That will not allow him to pilot Finch’s Phoenix Racing No. 51 Chevrolet in this weekend's Sprint Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway, with David Reutimann tabbed from Tommy Baldwin Racing to fill the seat.
Until Finch meets with Busch, he says he will not make any concrete plans for the next race at Michigan on Father’s Day weekend.
“We're going to meet the next week and have a come-to-Jesus meeting,” Finch said. "I don't want to give up on the talent Kurt has. He's one of the best drivers there. He's got some problems he needs to work through, and hopefully he can do that. If he can't, then I've got to go forward."
Finch said he has a simple message he’ll try to get across to Busch, who according to the team owner has “wrecked 14 cars” already this season.
“Quit wrecking cars. Be nice to people. That's not hard to do,” Finch said.
