I have Hamilton to win qualifying in a couple of hours +450

Also took him to do pole/race double +1000

And took Verstappen to set fastest lap early at +1000

had the time conversion wrong. Quali in 20 mins.

Hamilton did not get a mock quali lap in is why he is 4th in P3.

And just realized I only have +350 on Ham for pole, $4.50 dec

Opti...your racing info has been good. Keep it going.

F1 is fascinating to me. So many little things to consider. I wish the betting mkt was a little better.

Bottas looking the man to beat tomorrow. Even if Lewis wins start he has been faster 5 out of 6 sessions so far.

Although temperature is supposed to be cooler tomorrow. That might alter things a little bit too.

I dunno, probably be a coin flip v Hamilton. Whoever wins start and gets pit stop priority probably the one. Bottas looks very strong though. And hard to bet against him when last time he looked this strong in Australia he whipped the entire field.

LeClerc +650 looks the value to me in win market. But value doesnt mean he'll win of course.

Historically cars that look good in Bahrain tend to look good in China. Ferrari starting as 62-38 favourites over Mercedes before 1st practice looked to be correct. P1 and P2 were close with Mercedes showing a small but noticeable advantage. The same thing happened in P3 with Bottas again looking more comfortable than Hamilton. All of Hamilton's qualifying simulations were hampered so his times were not representative. Qualifying results were in line with practice performance. Mercedes will be tough to beat from a front row lock-out. I don't see anything that looks to be value betting-wise. Good luck to those who are braver than me.

Ferrari cocking the race strategy up for themselves.

    Happens so often.

Gasley drops in for new tyres with 2 laps to go and steals fast lap. Right team, wrong driver again

He was 18/1 last I noticed his odds.

that's 10/1, 10/1 and 18/1 for fastest lap first 3 races. Kind of surprised, thought this new rule would see more leaders taking it.

D- for Ferrari's strategy today. Mercedes have the Driver and Constructor's titles effectively sewn up. Ferrari have favoured Vettel over Leclerc twice now, so that looks like 3rd and 4th sorted out. Verstappen is fighting for crumbs and Gasly is so far off the pace he'll be replaced. 3 races down and the season is over. Bummer.

I said before the race to a friend, "whats the odds Ferrari rooster up strategy again?"

He tried to tell me they never do and what was I talking about.

After race I said THAT is what I was talking about, and he still demands they did nothing wrong.

Anyway, glad to see someone else saw it same way as me.

    Ferrari had 3 choices.
    1) They could cover the 1st Verstappen pit stop and have whichever driver pitted then drive slowly enough in foront of Verstappen so the other driver could pit and come out ahead.
    2) They could delay the 2nd driver's stop, switch to a 1 stop strategy with the 2nd driver and use whoever was ahead of Verstappen to prevent him catching the 1 stop driver.
    3) They could have left the other driver out on a 1 stop strategy hoping for a safety car, and if things went South pit late and go for the fastest lap.
Instead they meekly accepted 3rd and 5th with no fastest lap and dropped 3 points. Talking about holding up Bottas was BS. There was nothing that was going to get Vettel into 2nd today. They concentrated on a battle they couldn't win and ignored the battle they could win. Really poor strategy effort today. Congrats to Mercedes and Red Bull on maximising what was available. Oh well, I'll take my beer money win and move on to Baku! (The manager in my local BetFred phoned for permission to take my bet at -300! ****ing kids! )
