I was on the UNDER, 50€....the bet seemed doomed from the beginning, but then something happened and they went scoreless for a long time....
....but before going to bed (game ended past 4:00am local time) I decided to kind of edge my bet or take a loss a little bit higher and put 20€ on Calgary+4.5 @8.00 less than 4 minutes to go......

Riding the wave of Flyers' overs. Bryzgalov v. Miller. Bryzgalov is off his best start in nearly a month which broke a streak of six straight where he allowed three goals or more. Miller has been pretty stout with a GAA of 2.14. He has allowed nine goals though in his last three starts and has never blanked Philly. These teams traditionally play high scoring games with OVERs hitting around 2/3 of the time in their last 30 meetings.Two solid PPs, but also two good PK units so special teams will be interesting. Flyers have been a little leakier lately on the PK. Flyers rank second in scoring per game at 3.7 goals. Buffalo is 9th at 2.90.

I played the under on the SBR contest, didn't put any real money on it. Thought it was going to be a Flyers trouncing, but they let the Sabres back into it. Exact same as Bayern. Up 3-0 quickly...then barely hold on 3-2.Comment -

11.3.11: CANADIENS-SENATORS OVER 5.5 [+110]
Price v. Anderson. Price has been pretty solid of late with only four goals allowed in his last three starts. Anderson though is still iffy, letting in three or more goals in nine of his eleven starts. Habs PP has been anemic, but got untracked against the Bruins last time and could have fun with a leaky Sens PK unit. Ottawa is dangerous on the PP, but Montreal has a solid PK unit. Ottawa has hit OVERs in seven of their last ten on home ice.

Going to ride the Flyers overs until the trend shows a prolonged period of going the other way. In this one, Philly has cashed OVERs seven of eight at home, Columbus is six for six in OVERs on the road due to poor defense and goal tending. Mason v. Bryzgalov. Mason has given up at least three goals in nine of 12 starts and four in each of his five road starts. Bryzgalov has been better lately, but can still be iffy. Flyers PP has fallen off lately, but could help tonight as Columbus' PK unit has had some issues, especially on the road.

Garon v. Theodore. TB has hit OVERs in five of seven on the road, mostly due to poor defense and goal tending. They have surrendered at least three goals in four of their last five overall. Their PP unit has shown some promise, but has not performed on the road. Could be a good spot to get it going today against a Panthers PK unit that can be had IF they take some penalties. Florida isn't a high octane offense, but they have scored at least twice in six straight. Theodore has given up at least two in seven straight. Garon had been pretty solid, but has allowed eight in his last two starts.

11.7.11: KINGS-SHARKS OVER 5 [-130]
Quick vs. Niemi. Quick has been a little leakier than his great start to the season as he's given up two goals or more in five straight. Niemi has been a bit more giving with a GAA over 3.00. He has allowed eleven goals in his last three starts. Both teams possess solid PP units and LA in particular could really rev it up against a Sharks PK unit that does struggle. Kings have allowed at least three goals in six straight. Sharks have hit for three or more in seven of their last eight. They have also yielded at least two in nine of their last ten.

Theodore vs. Gustavsson. Theo has given up at least two goals in eight straight starts with three or more allowed in five of those. Gustavsson has also given up at least two goals in all eight of his starts with three or more allowed in six. Seven of his eight starts have gone OVERs. A solid Florida PP unit could feast on Toronto's troubled PK units. Toronto's PK units have allowed multiple PP goals in six of their last ten and at least one PP goal in seven of ten. Florida has also been somewhat leaky on the PK, so the Leafs could get their PP revved up as well.

Roloson has been both brilliant and terrible this season. Mostly though, he's had a tough time against good offensive clubs. In five of seven starts, he has allowed at least four goals. Flyers have been doing a lot of their scoring at even strength, but could find some room to improve their PP tonight as Tampa's PK units have given up a PP goal in three straight. Philly just needs some opps. Flyers have scored at least three in six of their last seven. Lightning have scored three or better in seven of ten. Tampa has also given up at least three in five of six. Flyers have given up at least two in 11 of their last 12.Comment -
