#1774.1.11: BLACKHAWKS@BLUE JACKETS OVER 5.5 [-105]
Crawford vs. Garon likely. Crawford has been mostly solid this year, but Columbus has his number. The Jackets have hit him for seven goals over his two starts against them. Garon has given up at least three goals in six straight starts & Chicago hit him for four goals in his lone start vs. the Hawks. Offensively, both clubs are struggling to be consistent but usually bring out the best offense against each other. Three of the five meetings between the two this season have gone OVERs, including all three in Columbus. CLB has given up at least three goals in six of their last seven & their PK unit is ripe for the picking. The PK unit has given up at least one PP goal in four of five and the Chicago PP unit can still be lethal even with Sharp out.

#1794.5.11: AVALANCHE@BLUES OVER 5.5 [-125]
Budaj vs. Halak. Budaj has given up at least three goals in seven of his last nine starts. Against STL this season, Budaj has given up three goals in each of his three starts. Halak has given up ten goals in two starts vs. COL this season. STL has been in a big scoring groove with 26 goals in their last five. They have given up at least three in four of their last five, while COL has given up at least three in eight of their last ten. The STL PP could be big tonight.

#1824.6.11: SHARKS TEAM TOTAL OVER 2.5 [-130]
Emery starts for Anaheim vs. SJ. Emery has come back to earth a bit after a hot start with the Ducks. He has allowed at least three goals in four of his last six starts. He allowed three vs. SJ just four days ago and has allowed nine to them in two career starts. The Sharks have taken a bite out of the opposition on offense with ten straight games of at least three goals and four or more in seven of the last nine. Their PP has been lethal with at least one score in eight of the last ten. The Ducks PK has given up at least one in seven of the last ten. Anaheim has yielded at least three goals in six of their last eight overall and six of their last eight at home.

Gotta sport the Playoff Penguin Beard to begin!
4.13.11: COYOTES@RED WINGS OVER 5.5 [+124]
Brzgalov vs. Howard. Three of the four regular season meetings featured at least five goals. Detroit at home still seem conducive to seeing goals score for & against them as evidenced by their regular season #s showing GF & GA of 3+ at home. 24 of 41 home games went OVERs for the Wings. Bryzgalov allowed eleven goals in four starts vs. DET. Howard yielded seven in three starts. Over his last 15 games, Howard let in at least two goals in 14 of 15 and three or more in 7 of 15. Bryzgalov let in three or more in four of his last six starts. In last year's playoff meeting, two of three @ DET went OVERs and four of seven overall with six games seeing at least five goals. DET ranks 5th in PP goals, while PHX was 26th in PK. Could loom large although special teams did not yield much between the two in the regular season.

#186I usual only worry when it's scoreless after 1. As long as you can get that one goal, you have a shot. There were so many shots in this one and penalties that it seemed like it was going to get rolling at some point.

#1874.14.11: SABRES@FLYERS OVER 5.5 [+118]
Miller vs. Bobrovsky. Miller has had his moments of struggle this season and the Flyers have been a team that has scored on him. In three starts, the Flyers crushed him for 12 goals. Bobrovsky allowed 13 goals in four starts. All four games in the regular season went OVERs. Bob also struggled down the stretch with 11 goals allowed in his last three starts. Buffalo's offense has been ripping it up of late with four goals or more in four of their last five. The Flyers let in three or more in their last five. They still stand as one of the better goal scoring clubs at home, averaging 3.18 GF in Philly, highlighted with seven in their regular season finale. Special teams could weigh in here. The Sabres ranked 9th in PP %. Flyers were good on the PK though and the regular season meetings only had two PP goals in the last three after a whopping five in the 1st meeting. Rookie nerves could also help get some more goals here.

#1894.15.11: PREDATORS@DUCKS OVER 5 [-105]
Rinne vs. Emery. Rinne was money in Game 1, allowing just one goal. On the season, he has allowed seven goals in four starts against Anaheim with four coming in one game. Emery takes over for the Ducks after coming in late in Game 1 to make six stops. He made nine starts for the Ducks this year, giving up at least three goals in four starts and one goal only in four starts. Five meetings this season have seen totals hit at least five in all five. Both PPs hit in the 1st game. Ducks ranked 3rd in PP % in the regular season, but Nashville has a solid PK unit. The Ducks have struggled on the PK, ranked 20th so the Preds need to find some chances there although they ranked close to the bottom of the league with the man advantage. ANA has seen OVERs in seven of their last ten at home with the PUSH in Game 1. Expect Anaheim to push hard again to score early which could give Nashville some more transition opportunities like they got in Game 1.

#1914.16.11: COYOTES@RED WINGS OVER 5.5 [+113]
Same match-up as Game 1. Going to ride the OVERs at plus money in this series as long as they want to give them. The Wings have now scored eleven goals against Bryzgalov in the last three meetings. Coyotes have scored at least two in four of the five meetings this season & they looked inspired early in Game 1 with a ton of shots even if that fizzled by the end of the game. Wings should be looking to put serious doubt into PHX early instead of having to rally. DET has hit OVERs in five of their last seven at home.

#1934.17.11: DUCKS@PREDATORS OVER 5 [-115]
Emery vs. Rinne. Ducks road defense has been a bit looser than their home defense and the Predators should be looking to bounce back strong in Game 3. Nashville scored at least three goals at home in 10 of their last 12 on home ice. Rinne may not yield much today, but so long as they keep this total at 5 for the O/U ... will keep getting after it.

#1974.18.11: PENGUINS@LIGHTNING OVER 5 [-116]
Fleury vs. Roloson. The Pens are not going to quit shooting. They have racked up 76 shots in the 1st two games, but found just three goals. During the regular season meetings, PIT averaged 32 shots per game against TB. Fleury got rattled in Game 2 as the Lightning hit for an early goal and tacked on three more. Penalties were big in Game 2 with 13 total PPs. Problem for PIT is their PP is 0 for 13 this series. That MUST change. Obviously they miss Crosby & Malkin there, but Tampa is taking a lot of penalties and that needs to be capitalized on. I expect Tampa to come out with their sticks blazing tonight in an effort to KO Pittsburgh early again. The Lightning are one of the best offensive home clubs in the NHL with a 3.27 GFA. Their PP started clicking in Game 2 against the best PK killers in the league with some crafty changes on the TB PP units as far as positioning. That may leave PIT 2nd guessing themselves tonight and give TB more juice on the PP. Roloson has been stellar for Tampa, but he can go from stud to dud quickly. OVERs hit around 60% at home for TB this season.

#200Looks like the Wings-Coyotes is gonna continue to be a plus money cash cow on the over if this keeps form. Two early goals. I skipped this one tonight, had a feeling it might wind up 4-1. Guess that could still happen, but Detroit has just been too solid so far. Shoulda kept riding this. Waiting for a commercial to see what the number is for an in-play wager. Has to be 6.Comment -

#2014.28.11: [IN-PLAY] COYOTES-RED WINGS OVER 5.5 [-115]
Held off on this prior to the game, but Detroit has come out and punched Phoenix in the mouth first with two quick goals. Stayed at 2-0 to the end of the period, but the Coyotes are now a superbly desperate team. Should keep this game open and give both clubs more opportunities to score.

#2044.19.11: [IN-PLAY] KINGS-SHARKS OVER 6.5 [+110]
Yeah, what? Skipped the whole day until now and despite the high total, the plus money here is enticing. Kings have the Sharks dead in the water. Niemmi is going to get chased I think in the 2nd period & the Sharks should be left to press to try and cut into a 3-0 deficit. Four goals in two periods? With the way this series and this game in particular is going, looking for LA to add at least two more here.

#2074.20.11: DUCKS@PREDATORS OVER 5 [-123]
Again, if the oddsmakers don't lift this total off of five - no reason not to try and bang the over again. With 15 goals in the last two games, I'm surprised this one hasn't been pushed up to 5.5. Emery vs. Rinne. Emery has allowed seven goals in starts in Games 2 & 3. Rinne has allowed eight goals through the first three games with seven coming in the last two. All seven meetings between these two, including regular season & playoffs, in 2010-2011 have hit for at least five goals. PP units have been cooking, ANA is 4/12 this series, while NAS is 4/17.
