I attempt it. I'm trying out some different things like this to try and maximize profits and limit losses. Not sure yet how I'm going to go with baseball, but will probably have something. Main problem with baseball in the past was just betting too many games. Very hard to do something like this where you bet one game a day - but it's easier since all the major sports are pretty much in season. In the summer, baseball is pretty much it, so easier to go overboard.

I still wish they had ROLLOVER goals like rollover minutes on a phone. Getting all those extras last night would come in handy some other day!

            2.24.11: BLUES@CANUCKS OVER 5.5 [-110]
Conklin vs. Schneider likely. Conklin remains average for the most part in net as he's started four games since the All-Star break with three goals or more allowed in three of those. Overall, ten of his 15 starts have gone OVERs. Schneider has been pretty solid in goal for Vancouver with a GAA of 2.29. The good thing is thanks mostly to solid offensive support, five of his six home starts have gone OVERs. The Canucks average 3.55 goals per home game. Since the break, five of their six games at home have hit OVERs. STL could test VAN as the Blues have tallied at least three goals in five straight and eight of ten overall. Vancouver still sports the top PP unit in the NHL while St.Louis is in a stretch where they have scored a PP goal in six straight. They will be hard pressed though against the best PK unit in the NHL, but they did manage two against VAN when they met on Valentine's Day in a 3-2 Blues home win. Neither goalie tonight has faced the opposition this season.

                2.25.11: DEVILS@LIGHTNING OVER 5.5 [+118]
Hedberg vs. Roloson likely. With Roloson in goal, OVERs have hit in six straight starts. He has given up a whopping 26 goals in that stretch. Hedberg isn't likely to be as giving, but TB is one of the best offensive clubs at home - scoring 3.52 goals per game. The Lightning have tallied at least two goals at home in an amazing 26 straight home games. For me, if TB gets at least that today, even though they aren't the most potent offense ... I think NJ against Roloson can do some damage. NJ has scored 11 goals in two meetings vs. TB this season. Rolo gave up four goals and was chased early last time vs. NJ. Devils PP needs to find a way against a leaky Tampa PK unit that has given up a PP goal in seven of their last eight.

Tough break. I needed that one goal to complete my parlay with Chicago ML and NYI/PHI o5.5.

It is hard God Damn work finding an OVER in the NHL right now, but this one looks spicy.

                        3.4.11: HURRICANES@BLACKHAWKS OVER 5.5 [-107]
Peters vs. Crawford likely. You had me at Peters. Guy hasn't started in six weeks and was a shambles when he did start, yielding three goals or more in seven of eight starts and in 10 of 11 appearances total. Crawford has been mostly solid, but he is coming off allowing four goals and has given up nine in his last three starts. OVERs have hit in four of his last five starts. Chicago has been blistering goals into the net lately with 22 in their last five. The PP cranking at 36% in that stretch. Carolina's killed well most of the season, so this will be a key battle. The Hawks have been average on the PK recently, showing a few lapses. Carolina's PP unit is pretty toothless though. Hurricanes have been steady scoring in their last ten with at least three goals in seven of those. This play hinges on Peters starting. If he does, Game On. It not, pass.

                            3.8.11: OILERS@FLYERS OVER 5.5 [-107]
Dubnyk vs. Bobrovsky likely. The Bob has not been so solid lately in Philly, allowing At least three goals in six straight starts. Dubnyk has done some good work lately, but still has given up at least three goals in six of his last ten starts overall. On the road, OVERs have followed him in six of his last seven starts. The Flyers still score well at home, 3.24 GAA there on the season. They'll need to amp it up tonight against a hot Edmonton team that has scored nine goals in its last two games. The Flyers have allowed 12 goals in their last two games and at least three in six straight. Anything on special teams here as far as PP goals would be welcomed, but neither is really rolling right now.

                                  3.15.11: BRUINS@BLUE JACKETS OVER 5.5 [+120]
Likely Rask vs. Mason. Rask has given up at least two goals in nine of his last ten starts and six of those have seen at least three goals scored against him. Mason has allowed at least three goals in four of his last five starts overall. At home, OVERs have hit in four of his last six starts. Columbus has given up at least three goals in seven of their last nine overall. Boston remains a good road scoring club at 3.03 per road game, but will need to pick it up. Bruins PK has been lazy lately, but Columbus doesn't pack that much of a PP punch - although it would help!

Mason vs. Elliott likely. Mason has given up at least two goals in nine of his last ten starts and four of his last six road starts have gone OVERs. Elliott has given up at least three goals in six of his eight Colorado starts. No surprise that those six went OVERs. Both defenses have been leaky as usual with Columbus yielding at least three goals in eight of their last ten. Colorado has done the same in that span with seven of those seeing four goals or better for the opposition. The Avalanche have scored at least two in six straight & Columbus seems to like the road better with four straight there seeing them tally at least three goals. Mason has a 5.95 GAA against COL in two starts this season. COL should get a boost by the return of Hejduk offensively.

Kiprusoff vs. Niemi likely. Kipper has been a good OVERs man lately with OVERs hitting in nine of his last 12 starts. On the road, nine of his last eleven starts have gone OVERs. He has given up seven goals in his last two starts vs. SJ after shutting them out in his first appearance vs. the Sharks this season. Kipper has given up at least three goals in six of his last nine starts. Niemi has given up at least two goals in eight straight starts. Niemi has yielded six goals in two starts vs. the Flames. Calgary has given up at least three goals in seven of their last ten. San Jose has given up the same in six of their last eight. Both teams are consistent about scoring goals with SJ tallying 17 in their last four, while CAL has 16 in their last five. SJ PP has been lethal with a PP tally in seven straight and eight of the last nine. CAL is killing just 67% over their last five.

Mason vs. Montoya likely. Mason has been a mess for most of the season and comes in off getting blasted for five goals in 17 shots vs. Buffalo. On the road, he has seen OVERs in 12 of the 14 games he has been involved in. ATL remains a solid OVERs team on the road, hitting that in 24 of 35. Montoya has been steady for the Isles, but has given up at least two goals in nine of his last ten starts. The Isles have been superb with 3.28 goals per home game. They have hit for at least three in seven of their last ten overall, while allowing at least three in six of those games. ATL has given up at least three goals in eight of their last ten. ATL PK unit has been pretty awful in some games recently, so PP goals could be on tap for NYI tonight. NYI have OVERs cashing in 22 of 34 at home.

Smith vs. Ward likely. Ward has given up eleven goals in three starts vs. TB this season with at least three goals allowed in each. Smith comes in with his 1st start in two weeks. He's been a mix of good & bad all season. On the road though, one thing has been consistent in Smith's starts - OVERs in eight of eleven starts. The Carolina offense has awoken in their last three with eleven goals after only scoring 12 in their previous seven games. TB comes in with at least two goals in eight of their last ten, but needing to get more consistency. TB has been streaky on the PP & in PK, so special teams could yield some scoring tonight. The four meetings this season have all found at least six goals.

Colorado has given up at least four goals in nine of their last ten. Tonight's Colorado starter Brian Elliott was pounded for six goals against this Anaheim team just a couple weeks ago and at least four goals have been credited to the opposition in seven of his nine Avalanche starts. Ducks have four goals or better in three of their last four. Their PP unit should have chances against an inconsistent Colorado PK unit.

Theodore vs. Halak likely. Jose has been pelted in his last three starts, allowing 12 goals. He has allowed at least three goals in six of his last nine starts. Halak has been inconsistent, coming off a shutout - only 12 shots faced - but having given up multiple goals in six of his last ten home starts. Halak has allowed seven goals in two starts vs. MIN. Theodore allowed four in his only start. MIN has allowed at least three goals in eight straight. STL has four goals or more in six of their last ten. Both PPs are anemic, but STL especially is not great on the PK. These two teams just played to a nine goal game three days ago.

Emery has been very solid with Anaheim in his short term here, but has now given up eight goals over his last three starts. Anaheim has given up at least three goals in four of their last five. Kiprusoff has continued to be an OVERs dream with 10 in his last 12 starts. The Flames have given up three or more goals in seven of their last nine. 22 of 37 home games have gone OVERs for CAL.
