#1072.10.11: DEVILS@MAPLE LEAFS OVER 5.5 [+120]
Hedberg and Reimer is the suggested goalie match-up here. Hedberg has allowed six goals on 51 shots in his two starts post-All Star Break. Reimer scored a shutout against Carolina in his first start after the break, but has allowed eight goals over his last two starts. OVERs have hit in seven of his eleven starts this season. Hedberg has been solid for the most part, over his last seven starts he has allowed just 18 goals. Should be noted though that he appears to have an allergy to Toronto with a lifetime GAA of 3.15 against them. That may have shown this season with Hedberg allowing two goals in just 14 shots against the Leafs in mop-up duty. Both teams have found their scoring touch since the break, NJ with three goals or more in four straight and TOR with two straight five goal performances and three or more in four of their last five. NJ's anemic PP could get a boost tonight against a poor PK unit that has allowed 8 PP goals in their last five games in 22 opportunities. TOR can also boost it's scoring chances by getting on the job with the Devils allowing a PP goal in four of their last five.

2.11.11: BLACKHAWKS@STARS OVER 5.5 [-105]
Turco vs. Lehtonen. Turco gets his first start against his former club. His two starts since the break have been shaky with four goals allowed in each. On the road this season, Turco has seen OVERs in nine of 13. Lehtonen has given up at least three goals in his four starts since the break. He gave up two goals earlier to Chicago in a 4-2 Stars win. Both meetings this season have gone OVER between the two with nine of the last ten doing the same.

#1122.12.11: SENATORS@OILERS OVER 5.5 [+100]
Elliott vs. Khabibulin likely. Both teams really struggling defensively. The Senators have given up 21 goals in their last four while the Oilers have given up 16 in their last five. Elliott has allowed three goals or more in five of his last six appearances. On the road, OVERs have hit in 11 of his 17 starts. OTT has a 3.56 GAA on the road. Khabibulin has been nailed for three goals or better in nine straight starts and 11 of his last 13. EDM hasn't scored a PP goal since the break, but OTT has allowed six PP goals in their last 17 opportunities. It's blah offense against really poor goal tending/defense. I'm siding with the defense being worse and goals being scored.

#1172.13.11: ISLANDERS@SABRES OVER 5.5 [-115]
Koskinen vs. Miller is the likely goal tending match-up. Koskinen has given up three goals or more in all three of his starts that have ended in OVERs. Miller has given up at least two goals in six straight starts. Four of his last five at home have gone OVERs. Miller has given up ten goals to the Isles in their last three meetings. OVERs have hit in four straight for NYI who have brought the pain on offense with 21 goals in that span. The Sabres have 18 goals in their last four. Both PPs should have chances today.

#1202.15.11: ISLANDERS@SENATORS OVER 5.5 [-125]
Lawson vs. Elliott in goal tonight. Lawson makes his 1st start in a month which coincidentally was against Ottawa. He gave up four goals in that game. Overall, he has four starts and 14 goals allowed. The Isles have now given up at least three goals in six straight since returning from the break. Their offense has found a great rhythm of late with 16 goals in their last two games and 32 since the break. Elliott has now given up at least three goals for OTT in six of his last seven starts. He also gave up three in mop-up duty against the Islanders just ten days ago. Three straight OVERs in his starts since the break. Ottawa has given up at least three goals in five straight. The last two meetings were both OVERs between these two and both are OVERs in five of six since the All-Star break.

#1222.16.11: MAPLE LEAFS@SABRES OVER 5.5 [-115]
Giguere vs. Miller the match-up in goal. Giguere has given up at least three goals in his three starts since the All-Star break. He's given up at least the same in six of his last eight starts overall. Miller is coming off his worst performance of the season when he was lit up by the Islanders for seven goals. He's been relatively steady though, but has allowed two goals in nine straight starts. Six of those have gone OVERs. TOR has gone OVERs on the road in eight of their last eleven. BUF has gone OVERs at home in seven of their last ten. Sabres are in solid scoring form right now with three or better in right of their last ten. At home, they average three goals per game, while the Leafs yield 3.43 GAA on the road. Sabres also give up three goals per home game. Both PK units have been giving lately with PP goals given up in eight of the last ten for TOR and seven of the last ten for BUF.

2.17.11: BRUINS@ISLANDERS OVER 5.5 [-110]
Thomas vs. Lawson. Thomas has been shaky lately with four goals or more allowed in three straight starts. Overall, the Bruins have been shelled for four goals or more in four straight starts. Lawson has five starts in his short stint with the Islanders, four of them have seen him allow at least three goals. Isles are OVERs in six straight. Bs in four straight and five of six. Boston's PK unit has been awful lately at just a 59% kill rate in their last five. NYI PP looms large. Isles PK unit has given some up lately too. B's PP unit has four straight games with a PP goal. Isles have 32 goals in their last six games.

#1272.18.11: BRUINS@SENATORS OVER 5.5 [+115]
Likely Thomas vs. Lehner. As outlined yesterday before Rask started instead, Thomas has been shaky lately with four goals or more allowed in three straight starts. The Bs have now allowed three goals or more in five straight and six of the last seven. Their offense has been a bit feast or famine with three games of six goals or better and three games of two goals or less in their eight games since the break. Ottawa has been giving up goals with regularity, allowing three or more in six straight. Lehner gets the start tonight after Elliott was traded. Lehner has three starts this season with eleven goals allowed in those starts. He's also been pounded in mop-up duty, giving up another nine goals in three more appearances. PP units should have possibilities of helping out tonight. Boston has scored a PP goal in five straight. Ottawa gets a Bruins PK unit that has just a 62% kill rate in their last five. Bs have gone OVERs in six of the last seven and the Senators have gone OVERs in six straight

#1302.19.11: THRASHERS@OILERS OVER 5.5 [-120]
Pavelec vs. Khabibulin likely today. Pavelec has struggled since the All-Star break with six of his seven starts seeing him allow three goals or more. ATL has been an OVERs squad on the road all season with the OVER cashing in 20 of 29. In Pavelec's road starts, OVERs have hit in ten of his last 14. The Thrash have given up at least three goals in eight of their last ten overall. EDM is in their best vein of form in months with two solid home wins in a row. Khabibulin has allowed just two goals in those games. Those two starts broke a ten game streak where Khabibulin has yielded at least three goals. The good news here despite the Oilers recent better defensive performances is that their offense has also upped the ante with eight goals in this mini win streak. ATL is still among the worst road defensive squads with a 3.66 GAA on the road. EDM has just over a 3.00 GAA at home. The Oilers are still at heart a poor defensive/goal tending team and with ATL needing points to keep pace in the playoff race, hopefully they push hard today.

#1342.22.11: AVALANCHE@BLUES OVER 5.5 [-120]
Budaj vs. Conklin likely here. Colorado remains one of the worst defensive teams in the NHL. They have given up at least three goals in 14 straight games and in 46 of 59 overall. Budaj has started vs. STL twice, giving up three goals each game. Overall, he has been roughed up lately with 19 goals allowed in his last four starts. Conklin has made four starts since the All-Star Break with three goals or more allowed in three of those four. STL has given up three goals or more in six of nine since the break. Colorado has struggled for goals, but MAY find help against STL whom they have tallied 12 goals against in two games. The STL PP should loom large tonight as they have scored eight PP goals in their last 20 shifts. COL has yielded at least one PP goal in eight of their last ten.

#1382.23.11: COYOTES@LIGHTNING OVER 5.5 [+104]
La Barbera vs. Roloson likely. Start with Roloson who has been utter crap since the break. He's started five and let in at least three in all five, 23 goals in all in that stretch. That resulted in five straight OVERs. La Barbera hasn't started in a month. In 14 starts, he's given up three or more goals in nine. Eight of his 13 road starts have gone OVERs. Coyotes have been solid scoring three goals or better in seven straight. TB is one of the best scoring teams at home at 3.27 goals per game. The Lightning have gone OVERs in six of their last seven and seven of ten overall. All were at home.
