Yeah they have been very slow to adjust. Seems ridiculous that DET-PHX stayed plus money on the over all series with how many goals were being scored & the same goes for ANA-NAS. Cannot fathom the next game getting anything but 5.5, but if they want to keep being silly I will take that 5 all day!

Crawford vs. Luongo again. Everyone knows by now that Luongo was lit up and got pulled late. Would not expect a repeat, but Chicago clearly had some energy on offense in Game 4. OVERs have cashed in six of the last eight meetings between these two in Vancouver. Both PP units are clicking pretty well right now, so any penalties taken tonight should afford good goal scoring chances.

Should continue to be Rinne vs. Emery. Again, if they aren't going to push this to 5.5, banging the OVER at 5 continues to look like a solid play in this series.

King vs. Niemi once more. Kings will be in super desperation mode down 3-1 and they have been leaking in goals against the Sharks with 12 allowed in the last two games. San Jose for their part have still been sloppy enough to allow the Kings to score three goals or more in three straight as well. With San Jose clicking here, I think this is a solid shot again to try the over on another total of 5.

4.30.11: RED WINGS@SHARKS OVER 5.5 [-115]
Should be Howard vs. Niemi. This is a series where I think I will be riding the OVER plenty. Howard struggled in three starts vs. SJ this season, giving up 12 goals. Niemi was solid against the Wings in the regular season with just six goals allowed in three starts. However, his confidence has to be a little shaky after the LA series where he gave up three goals or more in five straight. Seven of the last nine meetings dating back to last April have hit OVERs. Although the Sharks PP struggled vs. LA, they should have a shot to pick things up against a Detroit PK unit that was pounded by the Coyotes and took a lot of needless penalties.

Hola mi amigos. Back for another season of pucks! Figured I would use the same thread as last season because it was good to me, so hopefully the voodoo is good! Same style as last season, I will play ONE game per day looking for the best OVER shot or perhaps the Grand Salami or Team Total once in a while. Starting a little earlier than last season, but it's slow in most sports .. definitely not going overboard as only a handful of games to judge on so far.

10.12.11: BRUINS-HURRICANES OVER 5.5 [+125]
Thomas v. Ward. It's easy to look at this and immediately go under. Bruins lacking scoring punch so far and without their first line center tonight. However, Cam Ward may be the elixir. He has allowed eight goals in two starts so far as the 'Canes have gone OVERs in two of three with the other result being a PUSH on a six goal total. Thomas has been his usual solid self, allowing three goals in two starts. Certainly don't expect Carolina to contribute more than two to the cause, but the Bs even without Krejci should have opportunites against a loose defense/PK unit. Tyler Seguin's speed goes in on the 1st line, so let's see if he ignites this team or not. If he does, I think there's an empty net chance to seal this late or hopefully, an earlier casher.Comment -

Battle of the backups, Vokoun vs. Brent Johnson. Caps have ten goals in just two games, but have been leaky in defense with eight allowed. Five of those were in Vokoun's start vs. Tampa last time. Johnson has one start this season, a good one with just one goal allowed in a shootout loss to Edmonton. Pens have also been solid on offense with four goals or better in three of four. Pitt's PP should be a key tonight. Special Teams could be the key here with Pitt's PP unit pretty solid so far.Comment -

Fleury vs. Pavelec here. Pavelec's career numbers against Pittsburgh should be a scene on American Horror Story, GAA in the mid 4s against the Pens. This season, he's allowed nine goals in two starts. Overall, the Jets have allowed at least four in each of their three games. Pens have yielded at least two goals in each of their six games this season. Fleury has given up three in three of his four starts. Pens PP has been rock solid this season and goes against a Winnipeg PK unit that has given up at least one PP goal in every game. All business to get into the win column, so bust out the Business Guin!
