Yeah not sure why I picked that one. I didn't feel quite right about it. Should have just sat out. Preds-Ducks was the only one I felt was a decent shot to go over, but I couldn't convince myself.

11.9.11: WILD-SHARKS OVER 5 [-135] Backstrom v. Niemi. Backstrom & Minnesota have been pretty stingy. He has let in at least two goals though in six of nine starts and three or more in four. Niemi has allowed at least two goals in eight of nine starts. Sharks have hit OVERs in five of six at home where they average 3.33 goals per game. They are also allowing just over three goals per game at home. Minny's PP unit could get healthy against a Sharks PK unit that has allowed a PP goal in eight of their last ten and are 4th highest in the # of PP goals given up. Anything SJ gets on the PP is a bonus here as the Wild have shut down opposing PPs in five straight.

11.11.11: FLAMES-BLACKHAWKS OVER 5.5 [+100] Kiprusoff v. Emery likely here. Kipper has been his usual solid self, but his lifetime numbers vs. Chicago see him give up a little more than three goals per contest. Emery has given up ten goals in three starts this season. Hawks are a big OVERs team at home, with six of eight cashing that way. They come in off their best offensive performance with six goals against Columbus last night. Their slumbering PP woke up for two goals last night and needs to be good tonight. Chicago's PK units have struggled lately, so Calgary should have opps if they can get on the job. Flames have been struggling on offense, but Chicago has given up at least three goals in seven of their last ten.

11.12.11: SABRES-BRUINS OVER 5.5 [+112] Miller v. Thomas. Bs sizzling right now with 24 goals in their last four games and they face a struggling Ryan Miller. Buffalo has scored at least twice in nine of ten and Boston has allowed at least two in that same stretch. This has been an OVERs series in the past as well with four of the last six meetings going OVERs and the other two landing on five goal totals.

11.13.11: ISLANDERS-CANUCKS OVER 5.5 [+102] Nabokov v. Luongo. Nabokov has given up at least two goals in all five of his appearances this season. Luongo has been inconsistent this season. He allowed four goals in his last start and has allowed at least three in six of his last ten. The Isles have allowed or been credited with at least three goals against in nine straight. Vancouver has given up at least two in nine of their last ten. Looking for the Canucks PP units to be large here against a NYI PK that is leaking goals in lately. Isles have a solid PP, but don't figure to do much against good penalty killers.

11.14.11: FLYERS-HURRICANES OVER 5.5 [-120] Bobrovsky v. Ward. Even though the Flyers are not the OVERs magnet on the road that they are at home, I like this one. Ward is struggling. He has allowed 20 goals in his last five starts. Bob has allowed 12 goals in four starts this season and has given up at least two in every start. Four straight Canes' home games have hit OVERs.

11.16.11: BLACKHAWKS-CANUCKS OVER 5.5 [-115] Know this is a big public play, but it makes sense. Crawford in net for Chicago has allowed three or more in four straight starts and six of his last seven. Schneider for Vancouver. He has allowed at least two in all five of his starts and eight goals in his last two starts. Chicago has 16 goals in their last three games. Vancouver has 16 in their last four. Both PPs are cookin' and the Canucks particularly should have some opps on the PP to gauge Chicago's leaky of late PK units.

11.17.11: BLUE JACKETS-BRUINS OVER 5.5 [-115] Bs have become the sheik OVERs squad in their last ten with nine hits on OVERs in that span. Columbus has been atrocious defensively on the road with at least four goals allowed in all seven road games. Boston has tallied 34 goals in their last six with no less than four in any of those. Rask in goal, has allowed at least two goals in four of his five starts. Sanford may be in net for Columbus after a long injury layoff.

solid play, i think the bruins could put up the 6 themselves at home. may do a rare -1.5 bet on the b's.

11.19.11: FLYERS-JETS OVER 5.5 [-115] Bobrovsky vs. Pavelec. Everyone knows about the last game between these two that saw 17 goals scored. I don't expect that sort of game, but certainly think we can see plenty of goals again. Jets have been in good scoring form since returning home with nine goals in their last two games. Pavelec has been pretty solid in his last three starts with just five goals allowed, but he did let seven in during the goal fest. Bob has given up at least three goals in three straight and all five of his starts have gone OVERs. Both PK units have been stout lately, so not expecting special teams to yield a ton here.

11.20.11: SENATORS-CANUCKS OVER 5.5 [-108] Anderson vs. Schneider. Senators have been a good OVERs banger on the road with seven of eleven finishing in that direction. On the road, they average over three goals and give up an average of over three goals. Anderson has been solid of late with three of his last four yielding two goals or less again. On the season, six of his eight road starts have gone OVERs. Schneider has been smoked in his last three starts, allowing 13 goals - including five each in his last two. He has allowed at least two goals in each of his five starts. Ottawa have 13 goals in their last three games and looked locked in offensively. Both PPs can be lethal. Ottawa's PK units have been stout of late, but Ottawa could get Vancouver on the job tonight as the 'Nucks have been a little leaky lately.

11.23.11: BLACKHAWKS-SHARKS OVER 5.5 [-115] Crawford vs. Niemi. Crawford has given up at least three goals in seven of his last ten starts. Chicago has also been blasted in their last two games for 14 goals. Five of their last six road games have featured six goals or more. Niemi has mostly been solid for the Sharks. San Jose has allowed two goals or less in five of their last six. Still, at home OVERs are cashing six of nine for them. San Jose may help pile it onto Chicago's recent woes as the Sharks have tallied 14 goals in their last three. Sharks PP could be massive help here as Chicago has been horrible on the PK lately, allowing four PP goals to Edmonton last time out. San Jose has been good about not taking too many penalties, but if they do, Chicago's PP units are red hot. They have at least one PP goal in six straight.

11.27.11: MAPLE LEAFS-DUCKS OVER 5.5 [-120] Gustavsson v. Hiller. Gustavsson has been pretty solid lately, but thanks to his offense his last nine starts have seen eight hit OVERs. Hiller has been brutal. 12 goals allowed in his last three and at least three allowed in eight of his last ten appearances. Ducks have OVERs in seven of ten home games this season. Both PP units have been hitting regularly of late, but will be up against tough PK units - especially Anaheim's PKs.
