Good work, Flea. I'm thinking about starting a three game chase system on team totals. Most of the time, the totals are 2.5. So I'm thinking about chasing high octane teams to go over 2.5. Any thought?

Chase systems used to be all the rage here on SBR in NBA/NHL/MLB a few years ago. There's probably a reason why no one does them anymore...

Why not? I don't know much about chase systems but there sure seems to be a lot less regression in offensive and defensive play in the NHL than in MLB and the NBA. Anything that can generate cash money is worth trying out.

I do them for 1/4 unit to start the series. Its a great supplement to build up the roll. I do not like the stress when it gets to round "C" or "D", hence the reason I open up the series at 1/4 unit. The goal is 40 units per season, or in my case a much less stressed 10 units per season.

The problem with a chase system is that one losing series is devastating. Assuming -150 odds for each of the 3 games and a desired profit of 100 you'd lose nearly 1500 on one losing series (150, 375, 790) on the 3 games. You would wipe out all of the profits from 14 series wins with one loss.

Touts with chase systems will often post series records and not actual units of profit/loss for this very reason.

A team total angle is one that has never been used when doing a chase strategy. I definitely like the idea, so I'm going to do it for myself. Posting it on here is another thing.

I started a thread that made over 20 units in ten days and no one gave a shit. I bombed one day just to see if anyone noticed and no one still gave a shit haha. That system is up 37units since January 7, I just don't post anymore plays because of lack of appreciation. It's not a chase. The thread is "My Humorous Attempt at Making Picks." Look it up. I've been on the bad end of a C bet loss, so I know all too well. I probably won't chase. I will just look for homestands and bet teams o2.5 each game of that stretch, hoping they hit 2/3 or 3/4 etc.

yeah they generally don't post until around then, 5 dimes later, they gotta see who check for goalies and injuries. sometimes 5dimes waits till 1pm est on some games....

The Opens final rounds are fun to watch, but I'd stay away for the action, once I lost 3 dimes in a single tennis bet, never bet tennis again, moreover I never bet anything that depends on only one person.

I used to play a lot of tennis before school and girls took over my life so I love watching it, especially the opens. doing well so far, i usually take the game over/unders. went 2-0 last night. i can do schoolwork and watch tennis at the same time. when i'm watching hockey or basketball, i usually end up just watching the game.
