Best way to cover a hockey bet?
Say you have a few parlays on, and one of your last teams is -1.5 (or ML) and they're up by 2 or 3 goals, how would you cover your bet?

Other team +1.5/ML? Other team to score > x goals? total > x goals? other team last to score?

Would you bet on something that allows you to win even more, but also covers you, or just cover it with the best possible odds?

I guess this is applicable to all sports, but mostly hockey more than football because it's not as low scoring usually.

Why the hell would you cover in that case??? Don't make parlays if you ever think of hedging. Parlays are a waste of money. So when one of them has a very high chance of actually winning you don't hedge out and waste even more money.

Well, I put parlays on if there's a few games on at once, but sometimes when I watch the game, I change my mind or lose confidence in that team/bet. In the past, hedging has won me a lot of money when I could have lost it all.

That's the thing though, a team winning by 1 (i.e. 2-1 for ML or 2-0 for -1.5) isn't a high change of winning for me. At the end when they're attacking, they can either score or let in another goal on the counter. Just wondering if it's worth betting on another goal to be scored instead of the other team ML or +1.5 (depending on your bet) as you could still win both that way
